That's awesome!! Never herd of show choir recruiting before!

I worked with Bishop Hendricken for two summers at "SummerStage" as they tried to build up their performing arts programs with camps/intensives for different things like theater, jazz bands, etc. Myself and some other choreographers/directors from Central Mass gave them a taste of show choir for men and women, because they were very accustomed to having female participation in their theater productions and such, always from neighboring high schools.

For that reason, I was really excited to hear they had finally started a competitive group this season, and that it was mixed, nonetheless! I of course love seeing the New England show choir scene grow.

Correct it is an all-male school, but Häakon found out that they recruit women from other Rhode Island high schools to perform in "Paramount." Pretty cool idea and not too difficult since RI is tiny.

No problem Jeff! I also believe bishop Hendricken belongs in the single gender division because it is an all male show choir because it is an all male school!

Thanks, Andrew. Very cool to see a single-gender division in the Northeast finally! Also interesting that Shepherd Hill has started a men's group.
