Ok, so I moved this discussion topic from the Midwest forum to the Southern forum since most of the choirs are Southern, Tennessee isn't in the Midwest, and Tennessee doesn't have a coastlineā¦ so it makes sense.
I added the schedule above from the link. Few clarifying comments though.
-From the sound of the Belmont Rules & Regulations, the divisions are single-gender and mixed.
-I added those divisions above, mostly based on what gender choirs have traditionally been. I do find it somewhat odd that Davidson Academy "Treble Makers" is performing later than the other women's choirs, but I don't know why that is.
-All the other choirs appear to be mixed or have traditionally been mixed choirs.
-Apparently Tupelo changed their women's name from "Soundwave" to "Synergy." So that's new.
-The top 5 preliminary scores move on to finals and finals performance order will be selected at random.
There was no caption award for best ballad. Not sure where that came from. Sydney Assally did win best female vocal performance in a show.
