Well, look at that... a logical answer. Problem is nobody reported the full division results... so if anyone has those, it would be great to get them posted.
They stated they already had trophies made and were paid in advance. They gave out division awards, then awarded the Top 6 just based off one performance b/c they had the trophies and nothing to do with them if they didn't give them out.
Though I suppose if they really thought about it they could of taken them back and had the small, inscribed piece taken off (that can be done right?) and kept the top 6 trophies until next year with just a new piece changing 2014 to 2015. But, maybe with everything else going on b/c of no school they didn't even bother.
So ya, that's why. It was all changed b/c of bad weather, had them/paid, gave them out.
Well based on the overall placements, I added what I could above. If anyone can fill in the blanks, then that would be cool. I agree with Häakon on this one…
1. Pleasant Hill Hillside Singers (Best male solo, Best choreo, Best Costumes, Best crew, Best band)
2. Carthage Soundwave (Best vocals, best female solo)
3. Jeff City J-City Riot
4. Carthage Suite Sounds
5. Nevada Soundsational Singers (Best show design)
6. Warrensburg Soundwave
So they had divisions, but then did overall placements??

3. Jeff City J-City Riot
4. Carthage Suite Sounds

Wonderful! Thank you for the performance schedule. I hope that despite the weather the choirs are able to make it to Harrisonville for a great day of show choir!
Schedule was changed by 2 hours with no finals. Also, each group receives a 1 hour warmup due to most not having school most of the week. I think a few are even out a 4th day in a row today. Harrisonville itself has no school today.

It's scheduled for February 8th, 2014. The Northwest Missouri State competition is also this upcoming weekend, so I assume they might split the availability of Missouri choirs able to attend. Google didn't help much, although apparently Grain Valley and Knob Noster are attending.
I also know that Harrisonville has cancelled school at least once this week due to weather - not sure what the status of this competition is.
Anyone know anything?
It's still occurring. Melissa Molinario is a friend of mine and is a critique judging there.
