Hi, I was wondering out of the top three finalists, who has show choir as a class? I'm doing a persuassive speech project for my communications class. I appreciate it. thank you!
If you placed in top three I would like to know if if show choir is a class at your school. I am doing a school project for communications. I appreciate your cooperation.
Here are a couple photos from their set that I took last weekend. This has more to do with your questions than FAME Hollywood, but I didn't want to make a new topic for it and now that the competition is over, I doubt anyone will be posting here any more. Anyway, just to give you an idea of the aesthetic:

But the video is still part of their competition set though, right?
I am getting the sort of classic vibes from it. Just from what I can (barely) see, the costumes and lighting and background have a Golden Age of Hollywood feel. My take on what's happening during the acapella is maybe a young or now washed up starlet is at a bar, gets drunk, grabs her keys before the server can stop her and drives off. Maybe gets in a car accident or the paparazzi corner her. (Hence the flashing lines during the first "Don't smash" part.)
And I do hope Powerhouse competes at FAME Nationals.
It is, yes.
Your observations are pretty spot on. It's hard to understand everything through just one number, but you got the gist of it. Her motivations for the depression, for example, are way more obvious with the other numbers in context. I'm working on a video, but no promises just yet. It's a really great set and I want anything I post to do it justice. Sometimes that's difficult because a video is never a replacement for the real thing.
I can confirm that Powerhouse will be competing at FAME Nationals in Chicago in April.
I don't feel comfortable revealing their set, but I will say that it's the most "classic" Powerhouse has been in several years... and it's intentional. If a Powerhouse member would like to explain the story, go ahead.

Of course I could be entirely wrong. I had a million (totally, completely) different ideas about what Burbank In Sync's 2012 show was about before somebody explained it to me. (At which point it all made sense and I could see how it all fell in place really well.)
And I do hope Powerhouse competes at FAME Nationals.

So far on YouTube I've only been able to find their (wonderful) acapella. What's their set theme?
I'm pretty sure that YouTube video is from the JBHS Pop Show which has been happening all weekend. The Friday performance had a live stream. They will be performing again Sunday afternoon, but I'm not sure if there will be video- you would have to consult with Häakon. I don't feel comfortable revealing their set, but I will say that it's the most "classic" Powerhouse has been in several years... and it's intentional. But anyways congrats to those who qualified for the National Finals in Chicago: Mixed
-John Burroughs Powerhouse
-Danville Delegation
-Horizon Step on Stage Single-Gender
-John Burroughs Sound Sensations
-Danville Contemporaires
Can anyone confirm if these schools will accept the invitation to Chicago to compete in the National Finals?
I'm hearing that it was:
GC: Burroughs
1RU: Danville
2RU: Horizon
Anyone confirm? Captions? Single-Gender? I'm sure Haakon can fill in the blanks, but I'm just getting the ball rolling since this topic hasn't had much conversation. And I'm eager to know results haha.
Prediction
GC: John Burroughs(BV BC BB)
1st RU: Danville
2nd RU:American Leadership Academy
I would probably agree with these. Although I could see Eldorado or Horizon close to ALA for the 3rd spot. Horizon made FAME Chicago Finals in 2010, but haven't heard much about them the past few years. Eldorado is usually pretty decent, but I know ALA bested them last year, so I would also probably give the edge to ALA, but I imagine it will be Burroughs in first by a lot, Danville comfortably in second, and those others competing pretty closely for third.

The performance order for FAME Hollywood confused me too. However, I do know that Los Alamitos "Sound FX" and "Soundtrax" are competing at the FAME Orlando competition on April 6. But it does make sense for "Soundtrax" not to be attending the FAME Hollywood competition as they would be competing against the Men's Group at Los Alamitos, "Xtreme," in the Single-Gender division.
True those thoughts crossed my mind as well. That perhaps Xtreme is attending the local FAME and Soundtrax is attending Orlando so they could both get that experience. I also thought that perhaps Los Al switched from Hollywood to Orlando, but the FAME website is confusing and the Los Al calendar says what I said above. It will all be made clear soon, but it's confusing for the time being.
The FAME website gives me a headache. The Hollywood event has apparently been updated and the performance schedule is included. But, most notably, Los Al "Sound FX" is missing from the mixed schedule. However according to the Los Al VMA website, Sound FX is supposed to be attending. Also the Los Al calendar shows that Soundtrax is competing at Hollywood, but the FAME schedule shows Los Al's men's group "Xtreme".
...So yeah. Thoughts?
