Great weekend at Dutch Masters. An overwhelming outpouring of love and support from the community to our students, in the wake of the tragic loss of a talented, well-respected young man last Monday. Thanks to all who came out, competed, cheered, or volunteered. We hope our performances by AcaPella and Dutch Divas honored Blake's memory, because our kids gave it everything they had.

It will be an emotional weekend for Dutch Masters. A Pella High School sophomore, Blake Van Vark, was killed in a car accident on Monday night. Visitation is this Friday, and the funeral is Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. Blake was involved in the music department at Pella High, and was an all-around talented, well-respected and adored individual. AcaPella and Dutch Divas will be dedicating their performances to his memory. Please keep all of Pella in your prayers, as this tragedy has profoundly impacted our students and faculty (Blake's dad is a high school teacher and coach, also).
