You are right, Swingsations is the only group coming from Mt. Zion. Having said that, I would expect Southwestern to make it in finals (ignore the irony ;) )
Does anybody know when finals begin?
The first group goes on at 7:30.
I don't see a Les Femmes on the competition schedule for Edgewood. Is this an addition to the schedule that no one is aware of?

Maybe a move to April wasn't the best thing for this competition.
Well i think it definitely hurt that most groups are either now in National Competition mode or are just done competing. There are 2 national competitions this weekend, both taking away some big Indiana and Ohio groups that would probably be attendees. Also we just had some other national competitions, and groups that attended there are probably resting or broke lol. Mt. Zion's last competition was long enough ago that this competition makes perfect sense for them to "tune-up" a bit before heading to Indy. I think having FAME's elongated "postseason" hurt this competition a bit. But still 3 very good groups coming this year!
P.S. I actually just watched the 2005 dvd. Lafayette Jefferson was just SUPER stunning!
So excited that Mt. Zion is coming back. I read earlier that they were not going to be attending, so the fact that they are back is going to be great for the competition.
Here are my predictions:
GC: Mt. Zion
1st: Loveland
2nd: Troy
3rd: Shelbyville
4th: Les Femmes
5th: TBHS Soundwave
I think this competition will be a little bit closer than it may appear. I saw Loveland at Fisher's when they beat Dekalb and this certainly is a much larger group and much more vocally sound group than the one that competed two years ago at Contest. I personally love their show and I am excited to watch it again. However, I saw Mt. Zion at Franklin Central, and I see them winning at Contest. Great choreography and they have really bounced back well since that opening weekend debacle at Onalaska. I think they will also pull both caption awards: Choreography and Vocals.
The wild card is Troy, as I have not seen them this year. I normally really enjoy their show so I would not be surprised to see them creep past loveland, however, I still see Mt. Zion winning. Can't wait to go though!

I haven't gotten access to one. I will dig around and see what I can find.
Sweet thanks! Good luck to everyone who's going; I'm sure it'll be a fun one!
I heard Mt. Zion is going? I'd like to go compete but it's late for Pekin and our spring play has its dress rehearsals and shows the week of (open Saturday, but no time to rehearse).
i wish my Springfield Groups could perform at this competition. I went 2003 and 2004 with Springfield City Starz show choir, and we had a blast. A long drive, but still a blast!
