I completely agree! I feel like she should have solos through the whole show just like the rain man does haha.

I'm not sure about the top half of the placements, but I know Olentangy was .3 behind Opelika, who was like around 1.something behind Medina, who was about 2.something behind Findlay. All scores were VERY close. And Idk how many exactly, but I think Findlay was pretty close to Marysville too.
I loved Burbank!!! Their whole show concept was crazy and intense. But, personally, Olentangy should not have gotten 5 runner up! Olentangy did amazing and I absolutley can't wait to see more of them. I also thought it was funny that Marysville got First Runner up, and Olentangy beat them at Grove City. I can't choose between the two who i like better!
I'm one of 2 tech dads who drove Burbank's truck the 2200 miles to Ohio. This was my first out-of-state competition, and I cannot imagine a host school could be any more gracious and welcoming than Fairfield was to our choirs and tech crew. I think you guys are the gold standard for how a choir competition should be run. In Sync's set requires a fair amount of backstage tech this year, and our performance in Fairfield was the first time we've run our entire show. To Kenny Bob and the fantastic Fairfield Dads Stage Crew: thank you so much for your patience as we worked out last minute tech issues and for your willingness to help wherever needed. We truly felt like you had us covered if we needed any extra help. Your lighting and sound guys were all top notch, and really went the extra mile to make sure our kids looked and sounded their best.
And to all the other tech crews and choirs we met in Fairfield, thank you for making us feel welcome in your home when we were so far from ours. We hope you'll come see us in CA so we can return the favor.
Truthfully, it was much more understandable, for me, than last years and I was able to follow the story very easily. So kudos to y'all on that end. What I got from it was that the Rainmaker came and people didn't really believe in him and obviously attempt to get rid of him, so obviously he has to perform his mystical illusions to get the "Gunslingers" to accept or believe that he's real. Then after some difficulty and resistance they all accept him and it begins to rain (my favorite part!) and the townspeople understand that it's not just one person that can "make it rain" but the entire community coming together and believing that it can. Am I in the ballpark?

Wow. You pretty much nailed it perfectly. Hahahahaha. Props to you. More thugs will become clear as the year goes on. another thing to add is that all that wacky carnival suff, is the rain makers carnival and in that instance, the audience becomes the town people again. But your explanation was pretty spot on => nice

I can't even imagine how awesome this competition was- I've been so lucky to have experiences watching and interacting with all top three groups on and off the stage in the last few years- You couldn't gather a bunch of classier kids!

There is no point to be posting this and trying to incite needless drama. Regardless if you were the one who posted it on Twitter, by posting it here, you are doing nothing but making yourself and your affiliation look bad and destroying whatever sense of community was developed at the competition.
We had an AMAZING time today. Thank you to everyone who made this trip so enjoyable. We were truly thankful for our amazing Fairfield hosts. To help to add a tiiny bit to peoples understanding of the show, it's set in the dustbowl, something a lot of people told me they didn't pick up on after XD but all the groups did great today.
