I really don't like how they do captions at this competition.
In 2009, Xavier competed at Omaha North. All the captions were awarded after the preliminary round, and Papillion-La Vista South won them all. In finals, we placed in first in all three of those categories, and placed as Grand Champions, but didn't get a caption. It just looked weird:

I don't mind awarding Best Band after the day round. However, Best Vocals and Best Choreography should certainly not be awarded until after finals in my opinion.
you are incorrect my friend, pailliona lavista south swept it and got grand champions..millard west, and waukee faught for second. waukee ended getting second..sorry to burst you bubble. but we were pleasantly suprised. thank you for your input.
Read my post again. I did mention that Papillion La Vista South could grab GC. I wasn't being a Papio South Hater. Last year, Papio South was one of my favorite shows of the year, just so you know.
Waukee, North St. Paul, and Hinton! Very nice showing from distant groups at this competition.
Too bad it's not going to be close. Waukee with the GC and sweep.
Depending on how good Papio South is this year, they could grab GC from Waukee. But I think this is their first competition of the season so that makes me think it will be a battle for 2nd between them and Millard West.
Then comes the big drop in competition.
North St. Paul should be next.
Then random groups. Perhaps Hinton and Westside's prep? Or maybe random Nebraska schools.
