i definitely had an amazing time at LC! this competition is by far my favorite every year :> thanks for the compliments, people really underestimate us a lot. but we've been working really hard to prove them wrong!

congrats to FDC!! i'm really upset i didn't get to see you guys perform because we performed right after you guys in prelims and finals. but i did get to see your costumes and they were AWESOME!! :>

ATSC and FDC were tied as people have said. And from what I've heard finals from both groups were awesome. ATSC walked away very proud of their performance. I've heard so many great things about the design of FDC's show and I'm sad I didn't get the chance to see it. I think that that factored into the final results.

Another note from a Westside point of view. Warrior Express finished tied for 7th with Elkhorn's varsity group and won the prep division by 60 points. Express has had a great season this year and I'm excited for what these kids can do in the future.

Congrats to everyone and especially Mitchell and Westside.

I don't see how they obliterated them as from what i heard was that they were tied in day round the tie breaker being announced due to vocals.

I was shocked that East was not in finals, but it was a tough competition, But i had Ralston in 4th behind East, I thought Ralston was such a delight to watch!

In the daytime round ATSC came out a lot hotter than Mitchell... And they vocally are a lot stronger than Mitchell. However, as most of you know Mitchell has insane choreo consistently. ATSC was just so full of energy in Prelims... and the difference of GC and 1st RU in my mind came down to the improvement that Mitchell made. ATSC still looked and sounded phenomenal in finals... but Mitchell came out 10x more aggressive in finals. I really loved both shows I try to be an unbiased alumni... but we all know how hard that can be. I'm proud of you FDC! and ATSC you have a REALLY stellar show. In all cases the performances you put on at Lewis Central were performances to be proud aboutl

wow, I totally agreed after watching daytimes. I cannot believe the judges put east in LAST PLACE. I'm sorry, but that's crap.

I had daytime as:
atsc
mitchell
heelan
Lincoln east
gish
ralston
simply irr.
elkhorn

Also, atsc obliterated mitchell in daytime. I'm real glad to see that they did better in finals, though. I wish I could have stayed to see it.

Right now I would have it going like this:

Top 2 (no order)-
Mitchell
ATSC

Next 2 (no order)-
Lincoln East
GISH

Next 2 (no order)-
Elkhorn
Ralston

But they don't pay me to judge so don't stress too much over my judgments.

Thanks guys. Ralston had a sketchy season last year, but we really pulled through this season. Glad you like the show. Can't wait for next season!

I agree!! Westside's show was amazing. I loved the use of of those wings on the opener dresses. Also, your guys were intense and awesome through the whole show. All the lifts in the closer left me on the edge of my seat. awesome

my thoughts on this day!

Ralston- WOW what a suprise. I am not familiar with Nebraska show choir, but i had never heard of you guys, and I wasn't expecting and I heard you guys and was just floored. I LOVE the show. your closer is awesome and you have something a lot of choirs lose... and that is fun! So keep it up and can't wait to see where you go in the coming years

Bishop Heelan- I really liked your show, the downer to me was the girls. Your guys were super strong and very good! But I just couldn't get over the girls and I felt that you could have been up another stop from where you were if it was a tad bit better. Congrats and keep getting better!

Grand Island- Your day show was not my favorite. It was sloppy and the sound wasn't there, but you cleaned it up a lot in the finals and was sold on the show, closer was a bit slow and boring for me, but great job!

Westside Girls- I dread girls groups, but there are only 4 that i have seen that have impressed me. And you are one of them. The closer is tons of fun! Great job and keep up the great work.

ATSC- I don't know where to start... I knew you were known for your vocals as you took them from a very good Wheaton Warrenville but damn can you guys dance too! It was a great show, your opener was beautiful. I felt you lost some of that luster in your finals performance and got a bit sloppy in the closer, but just a great show and you made a great first impression!

Mitchell- Wowowowowowowowow. I am in love. From the start of your show to the final second I was captured into the show. Your day round against ATSC made me think they were going to take it but after I saw your finals performance i knew it. You made that extra effort. The ballad was just beautiful. And your closer is so much fun and so clean and you have some AMAZING choreography. If I were to have a show choir... Stephen Todd would be required to by my choreographer. His work is wonderful with your choir, its effective, clean, and difficult. Hands down my favorite show of the year. and i am in love with your closer costumes.

I have had a blast and this exceeded all expectations. Wonderful performing area!

My predictions obviously didn't fall right in line with what the judges say, but I guess I should be glad of that, means my little sister gets to perform in finals.

Lincoln East was very good. I am shocked they didn't make it. Their ballad was amazing!

Good groups today so far! Way to go everyone :D

Chris Stolba and I have these predictions for tonight based off of day-round.

GC: ATSC sweep (wouldn't be shocked if Mitchell took Choreo from them though)
1st RU: Mitchell (Very close between the top two!)
2nd RU: Ralston (Where did you folks come from?! Wow. Great show!)
3rd RU: GISH
4th RU: Heelan
5th RU: Omaha Westside girls.

Good luck everyone!

YAY McDonalds and Wifi during Supper break!

-Derek and Chris

I think this deserves an 'awwe' moment.
