I agree with Lauren! Everybody from all the schools were so friendly and had so much class. Congratulations to Atlee and Manchester as well as everybody else who competed! Everybody had such great shows! I was so impressed! Good luck to everyone at Manchester this weekend! :>

I just wanted to say that everyone did an amazing job this weekend
it was awesome to final see what everyone's been working on
Powhatan and James River were spectacular hosts and it was great that powhatan had the same stage set-up as Cosby so we felt right at home
can't wait to see everyone at manchester this weekend!

What an amazing time I had yesterday. Well, after I finally found the school, I found every school but the high school. I final decided to stop at the Red Barn, and ask where I was going and the generous clerk told me to take a right go four lights and take a left. I never thought the first light would come, but Powatan it a nice town and has a vary nice looking high school.

Now back to the show, seeing that each school had its own aria made it heard to find a set. I did finally settle with sitting in the James River Section until one of the workers told me and my friends we had to move in a snobby tone and wouldn't answer our question of “Where to?” We just quietly moved two rows up to enjoy the rest of the show.

Cosby- You may have not won the competition but boy was you amazing on and off stage. Always being first to stand a applauded for other groups and your interaction with other people shows how much class and respect you have for what you do. You truly must have an awesome director to teach you how to hold your self out in public.

Manchester- You made me feel at home with your mid-west style show. Choreography was spot on and your vocals just proved how much power you have.Good job guys!

All the other groups, Thanks for being willing to do what you love and trying so hard. Just build on this and give it your all at the next competitions leaving everything on the stage… Only to pick it up again at finals, if you were in the mid-west!

Hope to see you all again,

T-Boo

Enoch and ryguy, thank you so much. I really hope we're able to keep it up next week. I'll talk a bit more about the competition in the Manchester thread.

That's the first time we've won a caption (well, we won best soloist once last year), and the first time we have ever gotten first place. It was a long time coming for us...five years of hard work. It was worth every second. Just makes me want to get back to work and see if we can pull it off again next week.

Admission is $5 for a hand-stamp that let's you in all day, I believe. You might even be able to squeeze out 2 days if you don't wash your hand. *wince*

I'll be there, cheering you all on! I wish everyone to break a leg at Powhatan! (is it break a leg for Show Choir? Does good luck mysteriously work for it?)

Come say Hi at the Sound Booth if you want to meet the face behind "themusicman". I'll be making everybody sound good in our quirky little auditorium.

Good Luck/Break a Leg!
