I know i'm biased, but personally I believe LeMars should have gotten 2nd. Carroll got 1st in day results and we got 2nd, but in finals, people in the audience told me, we outdid Carroll in almost every aspect. But i suppose its the judges, not the audience that calls it. I'm over it. Congrats to everyone it was a GREAT competition.
Pinnacle registered as prep, so they couldn't make finals. Take them out and my predictions were almost head on. But LeMars and Carroll were super, super close. =>
I attended this competition as a spectator. It was quite the one to go to. Lots of variety.
Actually, Pinnacle from Bishop Heelan (although registering as prep) still could have made finals. They were missing students due to a tour for their top choir so they re-blocked their whole show the week before this competition. That was their 'excuse' anyway. I think its a pretty good one.
Yes, you are biased. But i must agree with you. Well, wait. First off I must say. Westwood may be a 2A school. BUT WOW. They are a force to reckon with. They had to go first in finals and they set the bar high..and i knew it was over when they performed. They did fantastic. But back to the LeMars/Carroll debate. I saw both groups in day and finals. Carroll outdid LeMars in day. Its as easy as that. I, actually, went to Emmetsburg too. Carroll improved so much vocally between the two dates. It was crazy. And they outsang LeMars. Flat out. But in finals, LeMars brought their A-game and personally, i had LeMars edging Carroll in the finals. I also had Hudsen in front of Sioux Center. I'm not a fan of Sioux Center's show. The lack of uniformity and the jeans and tennis shoes. Its just.. not show choir. I'm sorry. It was a cool concept, i suppose.
And i was just wondering.. why didnt they give captions for best vocals and best choreo? this bothered me a bit.

I think this is what the schedule is.... My director only had one copy and our copier was down.. so i took a pic with my cell phone.. and it was kinda blurry.. so a couple schools were too blurry to read but i hope im close

My director only had one copy of the schedule, so i took a picture with my cell phone. The Bold schools are the schools that I couldnt read cuz they were too blury and i guessed. I dont know of a Madison high school near here that would come and i cant think of a BGM. So my predictions are excluding these two schools.
I couldnt really read this one either but i think its close. I don't know anything about the schools in italics.
My question is can prep groups/womens groups make finals here?
