I was very impressed with Troy this weekend. It was a great ammount of fun and everything stayed amazingly on schedule (We know how often that happens.) Troy's groups were amazing and I am amazed to see any group pull something like that off. It would be interesting to know how much they practice, and Im pretty sure they don't have a class either, or so I've heard? Thats incredible... So... I want to give my opinions on the groups...

Rockbridge: You have some of the most amazing people that I have ever met in my life. YOur group is fantastic and your off to such a great year... I wish you success whereever you go...

Davenport: WOW!!! I was blown out of my seat when you all perfoformed and every soloists you had was absolutely amazing... I hope to see you again in the future.

Nevada: I didn't get to see your show, because of scheduling but I know that you all always have a great one. I've also met a lot of really cool people from your school too and its cool to come back year after year and see you guys.

River City- I am so proud of all of you. It's hard to be here that much but I know that with determination comes success and that has become prevalent this year. We are off to a good year and I can't wait to spend next weekend with you guys.

Ladue: I didn't get to see your show this year, but I remember your show from last year and you guys had amazing vocals! Did you all get a director this year? Its amazing what you all pull off BY YOURSELVES... that takes amazing devotion and a true love for what you do...

Good luck to everyone in future competitions... Can't wait to see you all there!

Troy was AWESOME! " border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> Most fun I've had for a while. I really loved how well Troy hosted it, and the choirs I managed to see were really good. I met some really fun people and I hope you guys did too! Nevada may have beat us by a smidge, but I met some really nice people from there, so I really can't be upset. Congrats to everyone, and good luck in the future.

((And Josh, try to keep the student-director fights to a minimum this weekend k?))

i was so embarrassed at this comp. i got in a HUGE argument with our director as we were walking down the hall...we were both screaming at eachother, and EVERYONE was starring. we were both a wee-bit upset that we got 2nd in the 4a division...if we hadnt made finals we probly would have killed eachother.

this is our 2nd compitition and our 2nd time getting 4th runner up...theres always next week-end!

Oh my, what can I say about this competition!?!? AMAZING! Congrats to Troy!-this competition was very well ran and went VERY smoothly. I was also impressed, once again, by ALL of the Troy groups! "Tonali-T" was very good for their age, and I loved the girls' Troy hair! "Soundwave" was amazing as well, every year they just keep getting better and better! I can see why you placed so well at your previous competition. "Express".....WoW! What can I honestly say about you?!? AMAZING! Hehe! Every year just keeps getting better and stronger for you guys! You always raise the bar, and take things to new levels. You always seize to amaze me! Good job! I'm sure that your group will do very well this year!

CONGRATS TO ALL OF THE GROUPS WHO COMPETED THIS WEEKEND!!!! I enjoyed watching all of the choirs! It kept my adreneline running all day long! It was interesting being an audience member this year, because I got to see things from the other side of the spectrum. And here are my thoughts: I've seen most of these groups in my years of competing, and I'm VERY proud to say that each program has grown every year! I also saw some new choirs, and was greatly impressed by them as well! I know that everyone poured their blood, sweat, and tears into their shows and it truely showed this weekend! Trust me, your dedication paid off! You may not see it, but as an audience member it beams off of you! Finals was awesome, and I could tell that all of the groups brought on the heat. I'm sure you made the judges decision very difficult! But all in all, good job to everyone! I was greatly impressed!

Rock Bridge-You've come a LONG way, and congrats to you! It was good to see all of my friends jumping up and down in excitment, crying, and being frozen in time. Your hardwork, dedication, and passion has really shown these past few competitions, the reward is pretty sweet!
Hannibal-You've also come a long way! You've got an awesome show, and it was good to see you in the finals. Keep up the good work!
Davenport-WoW! I'm still in amazement! This was my first time seeing you guys, and you left a VERY good impression.
La Due Horton-I give you guys major props! You don't let anyone get you down, nor should you! Your vocals are pretty freakin' sweet!
Nevada-WoW to you as well! For your first competition, you guys did awesome! I was VERY proud of you! In finals, I could tell you stepped it up! Keep up the hard work!

The Rockbridge girls group, Satin & Lace is truly remarkable!! In my opinion it had to have been a VERY close call between the mixed and the girls, but it certianly says something for those girls becasue every one of them double in the mixed as well. They seriously sing like no other girls groups I've ever heard. The show was the cleanest show of the day both vocally and visually! They were the very first choir of the day (like 8 in the morning or something like that) and STILL pulled to finals with the second highest point total for the entire day! WOW!

Satin & LAce also won: Best Vocals, Best Opener, Best Ballad, Best Closer, Best Female Soloists (Gold) - dont know her name, and then of course finished 1RU in finals, again going FIRST in finals. these girls Rock!
PS - holy crapola did Troy's Express rock too! They are so HOT! They blew me away even more than last year! I (heart) TROY!!!

What were your thoughts on North? I'm curious because I have heard no buzz of their show.

First of all...

I would like to say this is a very well run competition. The critiquists knew what they were talking about. The hosts in the room were very helpful. I think the competition was actually ahead of schedule. I had a great time.

Rockbridge "City Lights"

Super Big Congradulations on your finish! Your choreography was not super challenging but it was very very clean! The vocals were great, but I thought you could have had a little more dynamic changes. The female soloist was great! I know you wouldnt like to hear this but I think your background props took away from your show, ecspecially towards the end of the show, my A.D.D. self was watching the lights flash and not watching you. Good Luck In The Future!

...and to Troy's varsity group...

YOU GUYS ROCK!
