Hey, CompanyDad I apperciate your post and thought you were right on with the coments on the sound. It is a brand new system and I hope that things will continue to get better, the sound has the potential to be excellent. There were some other factors that contributed to the problems that it would not benefit to air in this forum, if everthing had gone perfect then it would be hard to make things better next year. At least I hope there will be a next year and that some of the groups had a good enough time that they will want to come back. All in all I thought things went pretty well for the first time, and that it's great to have such a nice facility to have this event in. For those who did not see it before, it is hard to describe how much improvment was made with the renovation.

Albertville, I think your show is amazing this year! I was so proud of you for winning the comp at Picayune. I'm really sorry you guys are having to take so much crap for winning. Its OK though, just keep working hard and you will continue to do great! I love and miss you guys!!

I Wasn't sure if I should start a new topic or ask this here, guess I'll ask it here. I am intrested to know what you thought about Picayune's auditorium? I know that there were some problems with mics and a roll up door to get props into the back stage area is needed. You also need to understand that almost all the sound equipment is new and that the people operating it are still learning, thus some of the sound and mic problems were to be expected. So putting those aside I'm just interested to know what you thought about the auditorium, and would you come back next year if the decision was up to you?

the auditorium in general was good i though...the stage had a few problems though....mainly that it was sort of small and when we danced on it in prelims it was like "show choir on ice" (it was much better in finals though...maybe it got mopped or something?) and a lot of people seemed to be having trouble with the black plastic thing in the front....also a few judging things bothered me but i guess that's a different subject......but yeah...i would definately come back!

^ by the way...this is intended to be helpful...not "let's talk about the bad stuff at picayune" ;)

i thought albertville's show was weird...i had a hard time believing that south jones got beat by them...but whatever, judges are always different and always appreciate different things!

Ok... all Albertville people are punished to the Albertville "My Choir" forum for the day, and are not allowed to post in the Southern forums for 24-hours... lol. Look what happens when I turn my back on you guys just for a second. ;)

Did everyone have a good time at Picayune? I did...I'm still trying to decide which ballad i liked the best. I can't believe south jones and Us have the same ballad. You know what they say, great minds think alike. I am so happy for Caleb. Picayune was great, Congrats to everyone.

Love/ Jonna
