This will be my last post about this matter...
Why is it so important to know where people are from? The whole point of this forum is to let people state their opinions and that's all it is.
Does my opinion mean more if I am from Clinton, Findlay, Lafayette, Edgewood or
Brownsburg?
WHO CARES!!!! Where I am from or where Honesty is from/ If Honesty is from CG, then he or she probably knows that little story that irritated you so to be true. If he or she heard it from a friend, then it could be true. Or it could be a rumour, WHO CARES!
The reason this serve lets people have screen names is to allow people to voice their opinions, which will be a bit bias, depending upon their loyalities and by doing that you people that cannot seperate the person from the group, will not dislike the entire group for one person's opinion.
GET OVER IT! This is just fun. It's more fun to see how absolutely riled up some of you get! Infact, that's the best part of this whole thing!
Well, I am off to Findlay High School, Franklin Central, CenterGrove, Layfayette, Zionsville, Carmel High School...Hmmmm..or maybe Ball State, IU or nowhere!

Why does it even matter what the FC director said or did... Its over now, and the results for finals were acurate... lets stop the drama and bashing of Franklin Central and starting rumors and such... Come on guys this is pointless and all its doing is giving people and groups bad reputations

I know show choirHonesty is affiliated with Center Grove. Everyone in Center Grove's show choirs know who he is and told me all about it.

It's kind of sad when people don't realize moderators have the ability to find out where people are from. Whatever though, they're just making themselves look bad.

QUOTE(somthin_else @ Mar 21 2004, 04:10 PM)
Yeah, Franklin Central's director told us we were gonna make finals, I guess he was wrong!

Everyone is talking about how FC's director bad mouthed Center Grove in the warm up room. and people are asking why are people bad mouthing FC's director...and blah blah blah..
i want to know why FC's director thinks he has the right to tell a choir that they are going to make finals....
that kinda shows that he "thinks" he has weight to pull at a competition.

No, I don't even like FC that much generally- you can ask my friend YourMomBuffy. Love ya Nick! hahaha

What I do hate is nonsense. Which is why I dislike show choirHonesty. Where are you from, TwirlieGirl, that you have so much personal info on Bill Griffel?

I honestly can't believe that this message board has regressed to the point where idiot know-nothing high schoolers are creating (and defending!) rumors about choral directors they don't even know. What shameful behavior. Grow up, kids.

"Thanks, also, for the stupid and baseless rumor about Bill Griffel. Absolute nonsense, with no way to back it up. No director with any class would do that in the warmup room, and Griffel as well as the FC Singers always act with dignity."

Hahaaaaahahhaaaaahhhahhha...You are nuts if you think this guy has class or any dignity. This would not be the first time he acted like a small town arrogant redneck.

Right on show choirhonesty!

Guess we all know who are a supporter of! So what if show choirhonesty likes CG...you obviously like FC...

I like CG too...doesn't mean I go there! I actually look forward to what Honesty has to say!!! Wondered if he or she would write in on this...

Oh well....on to the next!
CHICAGO here we come!

Whats with the drama in the warm-up room?

Hey show choirHonesty,

You are clearly affiliated with Center Grove... don't even act like you're just some spectator! EVERY SINGLE POST by you concerns the fabulousness of CG Sound System. CG's record proves it, so you don't need to get on here and spout off about how great they are and how they should have won their contest by 46574168 points every weekend. Your alliance with and bias towards Center Grove is quite evident, and nobody buys your constant CG padding as your just being a fan.

Thanks, also, for the stupid and baseless rumor about Bill Griffel. Absolute nonsense, with no way to back it up. No director with any class would do that in the warmup room, and Griffel as well as the FC Singers always act with dignity. You really are something- constantly attacking any group that competes against Center Grove for no reason! Get real, we can all see right through you. You are incredibly petty and obnoxious.

...and I'm spent.

im from northside and triton central was our last competition we were very upset not to make night show but dealt with it and loaded up, all i can say is it was a run of emotions for us and im veryhappy to have the opportunity to perform one last time in a night show. we are not like alot of choirs who expect to make finals, so all the schools that were very rude to us for "stealing points" we just do our best and we are nice to everyone no matter what

Well, well, well. So many accusations, so manypeople with teir own opions, how an I not add mine into the mix. I was there last night... not during the day. My friend was there and told me the whole judging deboccale.

Aparently, in the day.. four judges were the ones judging the show choir's show (inclding vocals and choreo). One judg was Bill Griffel fom Fraklin Central, Chris Mettert from East Noble, Dave Morton from Col. City (formerly), and another judge with the last name of Hilgert- he was a college senior without a degree of any kind. From what I understand several directors told the contest oficials they didnt think it was professional for a non-degreed person to judge groups. The contest officials agreed and pulled the judge for finals. The other judges listed in the programs did the silly and non-intellegent awards... what I mean is, what professional needs to gie out bst dressed direcor o bet ue of props... FOr costumes I doubt Versaci was avilable.

My biggest issue is that in watching the finals... and no, I am no longer affiliated with a choir... I was there to support a friend. My bigest problem was there really was no contest between Carroll and Center Grove. Vocally and choreograhicaly Center Grove was better. For whoever said Carroll with 24 singers sang just as loud as CG, it is not about loud sinigng. Choregraphically speaking, Carroll has a lot of arm choreograhy... they dont really move their feet, and if you watch their show you see their backs to the audience way too much.

In addition, take complete exception with those of you who say, "It dosn't matter how good a Director's group is, they know what they are talking about!" Thats bull shi*. If I was the director of Center Grove or Carroll, wh would Icare what the director of groups who I have beatenthink of my group. East Noble consistently doesnt make finals. Franklin Central' director was bad mouthing CG at SHowstoppers in their warm-up according to a friend of mine who was changing in the room next door. Do you really trust him to be impartial? I wouldnt. Also, every judge adjudicating vocals should have a degree and have experience wrking with teenage voices... in my humble opinion. That is why Hilgert never shold have been a judge!

So, ther is my humble opinion nd hopefully tha will help with RUMORS!

For those of you who think Center Grove should have won hands down, think what you want, but THEY DIDN'T... I am not trying to say anything bad about them, they are amazing, but I just thnk it's sad how everyone makes Carroll look like a nothing when they obviously have talent... The judges liked them... So what? Center Grove still won, so it shouldnt be an issue that Carroll must have done better than them in Prelims... CG has an amazing sound, but carroll has almost the same volume from 24... That should give them some points, and Carroll danced a lot more than CG, until their closer... So I think they deserved everything they got... Maybe CG seriously kicked it up in the night show, who knows, maybe Carroll's show didnt go as well, but either way it was close... And the judges know what they are doing... That is why they are judges... And if the are really so biased because CG wins, why did they have them win in the night show? If they wanted carroll to win so CG wouldnt, you think it would be the same in both shows... hmm
