YEah... the tie was at 944 BD and NC, the judges voted on the winner, NC. captions as follows:
NC won best vocals, BD won best choreography, NC won best band

i'm in the NC women's group, and the score sheet breakdowns were incredibly close. NC lost by one point to Huntington North Varsity Singers the week before, so to have two close weeks in a row seems extremely rare.
Kudos to all the groups that competed- it was a stacked finals if i've seen one.
Oh, and thanks to everyone who supported all those little girls in suits its nice to get support for a women's group in a mixed world. you have no idea how much we appreciate the applause.

DesGirl04- who you be?? lol this is Cav

They broke the tie by deciding who had the best overall show... obviously North Central took it... but i think they deserve it!!!
hey ben davis did a really good job too... i think they rock my world!!! some people there are the nicest people ever.... well ya but that's how they broke the tie...

Ben Davis rocked. I'm really suprised we had a tie between each other. You guys are awesome. Although, I was very shocked to hear some of the things you were saying about us throughout the day, and to our faces as if we do not respect you in a way.. I thought we were cool. Heh. You were definitely nice to us at your own competition... I'm not entirely sure what you have against us, and I'm sorry you feel that way.

Oh IM SO INDIE
i am sorry for anything that was said to North Central during this comp i hope you accept this apology cause i felt that all we had was respect for you guys I am not sure what was said but i know that our choir has nothing but respect for you guys now I was one of your host at our comp and i thought you guys were so of the nicest people in the world once again im sorry for anything that was said

Pike:
Congrats, you get the award for most unique show. The opener choreo was a bit sloppy. In the ballad, there was one soprano that was sharp and she stuck out. Closer was a bit sloppy choreographically, it seemed as though you lost energy right before the closer.

Thanks! We'll work on that!

I was there for most of it, and i thought that it was north central in first, 5 points away from a 3 way tie for second place (FC, Brownsburg and Mt.Zion) and then Ben davis and plainfield. I could have been wrong, but that is what everyone was saying at the contest.

random thoughts:

North Central: Amazing show, ballad was beautiful...aren't those the same costumes as 2001? good job. You keep your name and quality every year - great choreography too.

Franklin Central: Totally stepped everything up from prelims to finals...Cookies cracks me up...overall, way to defend your championship! I love you guys (and gals!)...also the hair looks bigger this year

Mt.Zion - didn't get to see you, but saw prelims on the monitor...i like the changes in the show, and the vocals were MUCH better than they were at dekalb - way to improve! Good job!

Plainfield - Your show this year is 20 times better than last year...the last number was really creative and different, and the guys number was cool - kevin r, you did an amazing job, i was really proud - i hope your foot is ok! good job guys.

Ben davis - good job, i loved the show until the closer - it was a little overall disappointing to what i was hearing last week from your own competition - i think maybe you guys were a little too relaxed going into it, but you did a great job nonetheless...soloists were amazing too, good job!

brownsburg - is this the same group that I saw last year? you guys were amazing! i don't really agree with having a small country on stage at the same time, but your vocals were moving and overall the package was just a lot different that what I would expect from you guys...way to pull it together - and GOOD JOB to cameron and nick and the other girl that i DONT REMEMBER your name but you are trying out for bsu singers - good luck!

another favorite thing - ritters ice cream. every contest EVER should have this. kbye

-nick-

Jen, the name is jen thanks for the post buddy! and cross the fingers on the audition at BSU

well im gonna have to dissagree with ya i really didnt get into Mt.Zion's who i was kinda sad that i didnt...i mean with all the HYPE that people put on about em..still they were good but i dont know y i couldnt get into their show...but it might have been the fact that i was still light headed after our show...i was the kid that passed out in the middle of the hall after our show

excactally what it says

well....just so you know, even though it doesn't matter.........everyone in choir is in at least 2 songs...........but this matters why? our director just puts in who she thinks is best for the songs.

and i agree with sc4evrz.......mtz should have won in my opinion.....only because i'm in love with them!! hehe
