No one should be surprised by the results. There is an unwritten rule at this competition that a certain choir always makes finals regardless of their merit. Last year they beat out a far more deserving Twinsburg for a finals position, in 2010 they beat a far more deserving Albertville, and this year it was a far more deserving Urbandale. Thumbs down me all you want. It needs to be said.

Thank you for the results! Very surprised about not seeing Urbandale in there! I haven't been around my computer today to watch the feed, how did they do this afternoon?

I was thinking the same thing about Urbandale. I'm interested in seeing day placements!

All groups have been amazing. I don't think ive ever been to a competition where all the groups have been at such a high level. For finals I would predict

Clinton
Waubonsie
Buffalo Grove
Prospect
Mitchell
Urbandale or Danville... but Eisenhower was good too haha. I'm pulling for danville though. They have my favorite show of the year

Vocals: waubosnie by far
Choreography: clinton
Combo is really hard, all have been great

This has been way too hard to call

Well now that all the groups have gone, this is what I have for predictions:

Prelims (of groups I saw):
1st: Clinton (BC)
2nd: Waubonsie (BV by a hair)
3rd: Urbandale
4th: Buffalo Grove
5th: Prospect
6th: Danville

**This is based on the live feed, and I didn't see Mitchell perform unfortunately.
