Ok let's see here...this is definitely gonna be a great competition! My finalist prediction is as follows:

GC: Beavercreak
1ru:Teays Valley
2ru:Garfield Heights
3ru: Edgewood
4ru: Southwestern
5ru: Colerain

More in depth if anyone's interested...

GC/1ru: Beavercreeak and Teays are legendary. There's no doubt that both choirs are phenominal. These two are gonna battle it out for the top spot, but I personally believe Beavercreek will walk away with it.

2ru: Garfield Heights completely did a turn around coming into the Poca competition. You're vocal have a few pitch problem here and there but overall very good. You're show is entertaining and the boy's number is HILARIOUS! I cried the first time I saw it! If you work through the pitch problems, you all will have no problem getting 3rd...maybe higher!

3ru: Edgewood...my home school! I love you guys. Now I have to be unbias and upfront. You guys rock my socks with you facials and the overall entertainment in your show this year. However, at the end of the show, you start to back off on vocals. I'm not sure if it's just the band playing too loud or what, but you all need to sing out!! Choreography looks very clean and every soloist does a fantastic job, especially my homegirl Elizabeth in the opener! Gather all you're energy and sing out! I know you can do it.

4ru: Southwestern. I haven't seen you all this year, so this is basically going on your past. You guys have always had amazing vocals, so unless you lost an ungodly amount of seniors last year, I'm sure you'll do the same. Goodluck to you all.

5ru: Colerain and Cabel will battle out for the remaining spot. I saw both perform at Poca and each have their strengths and weaknesses. I'll start with Cabel. Cabel, first of all I must say that the green dresses are breath taking. LOVE THEM! Second, your energy and vocal projection is very good and 99% of the time on key. Colerain, your vocals give me goosebumps. There is no doubt that ya'll can sing! However, the choreography needed much cleaning as well as overall performance. I don't believe any of you gave any facial expressions which I know you are capable of. But again, I think about your vocals and this is why I believe you all will come out on top of Cabel. Hopefully you all have worked more on the choreo and facials. If you have, you'll be a real force to reckon with and might defeat some of the schools I listed before you.

Alright. That's my novel in a nut shell! Goodluck to everyone!!!

GC: Beavercreek
1st RU: Poca/Garfield Heights
2nd RU: Poca/Garfield Heights
3rd RU: Teays Valley/Edgewood
4th RU: Teays Valley/Edgewood
5th RU: Cabell Midland/Southwestern

i duno how teays valley is going to be after losing crandall, but they should still be good...other than that...i think this comp can be a complete toss-up...poca or garfield could even take GC as well..considering poca was only a few point behind beavercreek at garfield heights...this ought to be a lot of fun 2 watch!!

As a member of esprit, im very excited to attend this competition, at south dearborn, we only performed half or our show, and lost 5 or six people due to the fact that our homecoming was that night, so we were a bit off, as to the compliments, thank you so much, we are a rather young group this year, so we have to work twice as hard, but it is proving to be yet another great year for us, i hope you all enjoy the show, and i think we will be proving some of those prior predictions wrong....can't wait to see you all there.

GC- Beavercreek
1RU- Teays Valley
2RU- Garfield Heights
3RU- Edgewood
4RU- Cabell Midland
5RU- Southwestern/Colerain

^^^ In light of Poca's competition and the promise of Southwesterns full show.
However Poca was Feb. 3rd and St. C is March 17th... so A LOT could change!!!!

Southwestern's full show could very well go over Edgewood's head, no offense, and knock choirs out of the finals slot.

But in years past Southwestern has dominated competitions, including St. Clairsville!

Good luck to all!!

Practice hard, and there will be upsets!

4RU: Edgewood/Colerain
5RU: Southwestern
based on competitions so far and consistancy of choirs.

Beavercreek is absolutely amazing this year and maybe will be behind Teays going into finals, but overall I think BCreek will pull it off!

However if Beavercreek lacks in any area, Teays will get it.

Garfield Heights apparently is outstanding this year, and it will be their final competition so there will be nothing to lose...

Edgewood and Colerain are always head-to-head and usually Edgewood pulls out on top, but Colerain is a solid group and it is their last regular competition so they will be pouring their hearts out in hopes to get a Grand Champion, and who knows... they could most likely pull it off, they have a lot of heart

Southwestern to me had a very short show when i saw them at south dearborn.
it was 3 songs and ended on a ballad
the vocals were amazing as southwestern always has awesome vocals
and the dancing was extremely clean and i love their green scarf things
if southwestern added what would seem to me as the rest of their show i would then place them at 3RU and edgewood/colerain 4th and 5th...

Also Poca is a normal finalist and is usually very good, so I wouldn't be too shocked if they placed well in finals

as a graduate of Southwestern i know they prolly only did part of their show...we usually only do that at the first comp...just to get the new people ready for the real thing.....also for a surprise.....its great to hear all the great compliments for SW....i know they have in their heart.....make me proud you all....i know you all can do it!!! love you guys!!!!

Very disappointing to hear that ETC won't be there. Your show last year was awesome. Pretty much loved it! Good luck to all the groups competing-I love this competition.
