If we're gonna talk about kids trash talking and what not, then we should be talking about waconia. they are so cocky because they beat us one time. theyre not that great!!!

Tsk tsk. Now this is really inappropriate. Stop before you really end up looking like a horses arse.

If you want to switch your status to alumni, I believe you can just PM a crew member and they'll take care of it for you

So...how about we all hold hands and sing and hug and talk about how much we LOVE show choir?!

i am not going to deny that Hastings didn't deserve their placements this year, i saw them at Viterbo and thought they absolutely deserved to win.

I am not going to to back off how i felt of the show, and this is a public fourm for people to post their thoughts and feelings on what they saw. I have not gotten upset with anyone for anything they have said about waconia, mitchell, clinton, bemidji, hastings or any other group. While i may disagree with what they say their opinion is allowed.
.

He wasnt bashing anything, hastings is a great group and did deserve their placements! thats what he said. i think you may be interpreting it wrong or something but i dont think any harm is being intended from any of these posts. we cant whip out mean girls again so can we just restore the peace and love?!

I'd love yo. Tell me how. I've been trying to figure it out.

It should've been an option when you signed up for your account. If you've been an alumni for so long, you could've set it as "alumni" when you made your account.

If you're a "very old alumni" then why did you not set your status as "Alumni" instead of "Student" when you created your account just this past December?...

I'd love to. Tell me how. I've been trying to figure it out.

I think you missed to boat on this one. Please see my earlier post, quoted below.

The things I say in this post DO NOT REFLECT Waconia at all. I usually restrain myself, but in this instance, I felt strongly that something needed to be said.

1. I heard a story that came from one of the Waconia moms that she overheard a group of Hastings kids say something along the lines of the following quote while waiting in line to get into the gym. "We're going to cream Waconia since we brought our own judges." I don't think any group could trash talk worse than that.

2. It's Bemidji, not Bemidgi. +3 Haakon Points.

I also think that Power Company's two grand champion trophies this year would argue with you about how "they aren't that great."

That's because I'm a very old alumni who went to school in ne and lives in MN. What that has to do with anything I stated is beyond me....
Thank goodness it's only YOUR opinion. I'm sure you could have found a better way to write it without being so cruel and mean.

And because I have many years on you and have no intention to turn this into an argument, suffice it to say that as an SCC Crew member I had hoped you would set an example by showing others the professional and respectful way to post a differing opinion without hurting the performers', directors, and choreographer's feelings and ego. Hours and hours of dedication and sweat go into preparing and performing, and ALL groups deserve the privilege of a respectful critique.

I have stated my opinion respectfully and am moving on. Done with discussion.

Headaches. This website gives me headaches...
Honestly, who cares if somebody doesn't like your show? All that matters is the judges, so I wouldn't get too bent out of shape about what a bunch of people on the web that are sharing their OPINIONS have to say. You're being way to defensive if you're taking offense to ANY of these comments

And it funny that someone is so defensive over Hastings when they are listed as a nebraska school with a current location of Eden Prairie...

If you disagree with me, tell me why. otherwise, i said to PM me with issues and i would clarify it. I am sticking to my opinion and I am sorry if it hurt your feels. But again, i do not feel that hastings was the 2nd or 3rd best choir out there last night.

(quote from mean girls this didnt actually occur. obvs.)

proof that waconia kids are psychic.
proof that waconia kids were spoken to about behavior on SCC hahahah!

and to make this on topic, clinton's heels were the greatest things ever.

"Hastings- Congrats on your placement... how ever I personally DO NOT agree with having you in 2nd OR with best vocals. The tone is good, but to me there were 3 better shows (choreography and vocals) then yourself. Obviously I am not a judge so all what i am saying is opinion from what i've seen from this competition. The guys song is the highlight of the show, outside of that to me its just... forgetable. I've seen it 3 times and that is all i can remember from the show."

I realize everyone has their own opinion (opinions are like butt cracks... Sometimes they should not be seen or heard), but this is really mean. All of the students work really hard to put their performances on-all of them. When giving opinions care should be take to state them without hurting anyone's feelings. This was just plain mean.

The judges did their job and each show choir's season record speaks for itself.

Their choreography was just not as clean at waconia or mitchell or clinton and overall vocals i found them to be 3rd best. I couldn't understand anything from their closer.
