Is anyone thinking about doing the solo/duet contest?
I really want to do it, but I can't seem to find a song yet, so we'll see. =)

I expect the last 6 groups in the schedule to make finals with Totino taking GC and Hastings a close 1RU.

What is the age group that usually try out for GRS? Are there usually a lot of peolpe who tryout? How many performances does GRS usually have?

Everyone who auditions has to be graduating from High School this year or older. This years performers range in age from 18-40. You just have to pass the audition!
Last year we had over 50 try out and this year we are expecting more. You would be amazed at how many adults want a chance to perform again. Grand River Singers gives them that opportunity! This year we did about 20 performances throughout the year. We performed for conventions, community and private events. Next Season we have 10 performances on our Calendar already and more are coming in each week. Anyone who auditions will recieve a list of set dates for the following season. Of course we always add perfromances throughout the year, which we always discuss with the group before accepting them.
We are very excited for this next Season as our show and costumes are in place! All we need now are the performers!!! That's where you guys come in!

why do we perform so early?! .....that sucks.....

Jorge is correct. It is first by how last years groups placed and then by postmark of the application. The only exception would be taking travel time, more than one group (to space them out) or solo competition time slots into consideration.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they made the order of groups by whoever signed up first.

Half of our performers are 2nd year members the other half are new this year.

We are ready to perform at our invitational! It will be our last performance of our season. We re-audition in April.

I cant to see Grand River Singers preform again! I really like last years! Are there still the same people in it as last year or did a few of the people switch?

The whole day is gonna be fun! Good luck to everyone!
