wow, clinton was behind 12 pts in prelims and came back and took every caption (shared best overall) ... did they rock that much more in finals than prelims?

Mt. Zion did not get disqualified. Their general scores were not high enough to make finals. The overall score sheet breakdowns showed that. The overall score sheet even had an extra section on it showing penalties applied; no penalties were applied to any group.I saw the scores of all AA groups myself: vocals, choreography, overall, and total score. Swingsations simply didn't make finals, fair and square.

I do believe you're right. my Petal friend said it was in the rule book that you can't go offstage. which is sad because I thought it was a great effect and they came so far to compete here.

Agreed! Albertville works amazingly hard every year, and I'm glad they're finally getting the credit they deserve.

Also, congratulations to Homewood!! " border="0" alt="thumbsup.gif" />

I just want to say HOW PROUD I am of my Albertville CenterStage!. We were going to be there (like always) but things just couldn't work out for us to go. The Aville kids this year have had amazing attitudes and have worked so hard and to see them do this well is awesome!

This is clearly going to be the finals event of a lifetime and we would give ANYTHING to see those five choirs tonight. Congratulations to everyone so far and good luck in finals!!!

love,
your most dedicated alum (Katie C. and Tara W.)

John Baker was a judge and that's all I remember. The standings after prelims were:

1. Albertville
2. Clinton
3. (tie) Homewood
3. (tie) South Jones
5. Tupelo Women

Interesting indeed.
