Yeah, sorry. I was supposed to get my copy of the schedule today, but I forgot to stop by the school to pick it up on my way to work. I'll definitely get it posted around noon tomorrow (central time).

Does anyone have the schedule yet? I saw that it was supposed to get posted today, but still no sign.

We are going to Navy Pier, and I anticipate seeing the Sears Tower.

In ONE week (and a few hours), we'll be on the plane! I am SOOOOOO excited.

But no one answered my question: where are you staying?

the better question is what not to do

Chicago is a popular vacation spot for me and my friends, here is what we have done

1) The Navy Pier- Lots of shopping and rides and stuff that is really cool, I think its a must see while your in Chicago for the first time

2) Michigan Ave.- Tones of shopping and downtown chi-town cultural experience, way cool.

3) House of Blues- Good music

4) Sears tower- tall building that is fun to look out of lol

5) Just anything downtown, there is so so much to do there. Just stay away from the hobos- some of them get pissed if you dont give them money

So - a fun twist on North Central's opener?

http://carmina.ytmnd.com/

Note - you may have to restart it to get the words to match up. Just right click and 'refresh' and you should get it to work. Oh, Four Tuna indeed!

Can I just say that you are probably my new favorite person? That brings back memories of senior year when the baritones all decided to rewrite the lyrics...then we decided it was too long and left it the way it was.

This next one is probably not going to be sung by any h.s. choir though, as funny as it is. Can you imagine?

Seriously this forum is huge for the competition still being a week away (a week away!!!!!!). Haakon, this is going to be one of the largest forums ever by the time the results are up. eek.
I'm so very excited to finally see all these amazing groups and to share the stage with them, not to mention seeing Chicago! Safe travels to everyone coming <3

You pay over $50 for a show in NY... Sometimes over $150+ for orchestra seats!

With this lineup... It is worth it.

I think because we are used to paying waaaay less at out local competitions that $40 seems outrageous, and in this case, I can see why you are all freaking out.

But...

Clinton... Burroughs... North Central.. et. al...
"The Battle of the Century"

If I could.. I would fly out and still pay the $40 to see that!!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN CHICAGO!!!

Eric is reading this right now!

And, honestly, $40 really isn't that bad. For an entire DAY of show choir, I think that it's well worth it.

Especially since it's Burroughs v. Clinton v. North Central v. lots of other awesome groups.

admission cost for FAME Chicago is $40, which is outrageous regardless of the scheduled groups, but what is one to do except pay? there is a way to order tickets and DVDs online, and from what i hear it is advisable to purchase an admission ticket as soon as possible.

Would seriously love for someone to post a performance schedule and some ticket info on here. . . I'm finding the Fame website far from helpful and am hoping someone knows and can put the information on this site. thanks!

I've got a copy of the schedule, but it will be tomorrow before I have a chance to post it.

I believe the Fame website has ticket prices/sales as well as DVD ordering information for all of the participating groups. In my experience with Fame Events the schedule is normally somewhere on the boards within the two weeks of the contest. I believe tickets are somewhere along the lines of $40.00 according to the website. A small price given the immense talent to be sharing the stage. Hope this helps!

just random side note:

I think this is one of the largest competition boards, and even BEFORE there were results.

But that is cause i am pretty sure everyone is so pumped for this competition and can't stop talking about it.
