I will make my one PREDICTION that will get me a gazillion dislikes on this. Albertville will win vocals. There. I said it.
I think it's definitely do-able. The only critique I ever hear about Clinton is that their vocals could use work, which is sometimes understandable given it being early in the season and they have intense choreography throughout. I saw the YouTube video of CenterStage! and noticed it seemed to be solo-heavy, in my opinion, but Clinton tends to have various soloists, duets, etc. as well. So it will be interesting to see how it all turns out. So like I said, it's a realistic possibility, so hopefully you don't get a "gazillion dislikes" ... after all that's a lot.

I commented that then completely realized the schedule was on the first page. Hahaha, anyways southern competitions do always seem to run behind no matter what. I wonder why that is? Is it like that up north and out west too?

What are the awards times?
According to the schedule on the first page, prelim awards will be at 7:50 PM and final awards are projected to be at 11:50 PM. But it seems Southern competitions tend to run behind, so I wouldn't say those times are set in stone.

LOL!! He asked if I thought you might be the drummer from Albertville!! He always had a great time with y'all. This year he will be working parking either on golf carts or 4-wheeler, look for him. I will tell him to go backstage when y'all perform. GOOD LUCK!!!

I will do that! I'll be pulling a trailer we bring so I'm sure I'll see him. You guys are always very hospitibal. Looking forward to it!

My husband used to work backstage and had braces at the time, his name is Joseph and he will be there this year working parking. He loved working backstage, meeting all the "casts and crews" he said to say hello to all from Albertville. He enjoyed working with y'all. Gonna be a great competition this year! Good luck to you all!

After getting to watch the small mixed choirs today at Homewood, I'd say the GC of this competition and the 5th finalist will be West Jones or Albertville. I realize West Jones has already won multiple competitions and made finals this year, but I think Albertville has a chance to come back and beat them at Petal. But we'll see! I also got to see South Jones women, and I wouldn't count them out as a possibility of the 5th finalist spot. I can't wait for this comp!

Oh yeah, I love coming down to Petal and hanging out with all the dads and around the stage and such. There is one guy, that is really cool, I believe his name is Matt?? maybe..I know he had braces I believe. He's a nice guy lol. Glad everyone is okay for the most part and the school is not damaged. Looking forward to seeing you guys next week. If there is anything we can help out with...bring...anything, just let us know. We do have some milos sweet tea I can bring lol.

Thanks for checking on us...the high school was not damaged. Students were back in school today. Tornado passed about a hundred yards from school itself...damage all around. There are still many people without power and many homes damaged or destroyed in Petal. I know you understand. Please keep our folks in your prayers.

Does anyone know the status of the school and such after the tornado?

I'll know my predictions after Homewood. Still waiting to find the perfect small mixed group to put in that 5th finalist spot.
