i agree with st.c rachelle, and show choirdude123? where's sa? they always fair well at wv states. and i went back and looked at the awards, and nitro has beaten poca twice since teays valley.
predicitons:

GC-HURRICANE
1ru-NITRO
2ru-ST.ALBANS
3ru-POCA
4ru-MARTINSBURG
5ru-CABELL MIDLAND

Well, Poca beat SA at Teays Valley AND Kettering. And they havnt gone up against Martinsburg or Cabell, so who knows

just my opinion, and Hurricane is a classic i am almost certain tehy will win but just like that one guy said people are saying Nitro has the potential. And Martinsburg didn't start the season off strong but they always do well, and as for Poca? This is by far the best i've seen them in quite a few years it could go any numbe rof ways.

Good luck to evveryone

That's true, Martinsburg definitely could get 2nd. But still, Nitro is doing very well this year (from what i've seen). Some people i've talked to think they'll beat Hurricane and take GC. Nothing against Nitro or anything, but I am a little skeptical about that. I guess we'll just have to see.

i kind of agree with that too. idk though, hurricane is pretty sick nasty. so GO NITRO AND HURRICANE!

Nitro has, however, beaten Poca twice since Teays Valley.. once at Kettering and once at Cabell Midland. I've seen both shows and in my opinion, Nitro should definitely beat Poca.

GC:Hurricane
1RU: Poca
2RU: Nitro
3RU: Cabell Midland
4RU: Martinsburg

Vocals: Hurricane
Choreo: Hurricane
Instrumental Ensemble: Nitro? Hurricane?

This is based on performances this year. Poca beat Nitro at Teays Valley, and I think they can do it again. Hurricane is the best contender for GC.

I would mostly agree with this, though I think Martinsburg has the potential to get 2nd...and I also think that Poca could surprise a lot of people here...

Winfield's theme this year is Fear. It was written by their director, Jeff Haught, again. I have, unfortunately, only seen the opener as of now.

which they have different costumes for now it seems...I saw a few photos.

I'm not going to/can't speak for Winfield or The Big Dog on here regarding States...it's not my place to speculate. They have had other things going on that weekend the past few years though, so they weren't just siting at home doing nothing. Capital has only gone once in recent history as well.
But I will say that GA has changed the way they do things since the last time they went to States, they now learn a fall show and don't really start working on their competition show untill much later. They didn't even have the whole thing done at Poca and performed a ballad they had just gotten that Monday...which they sang fairly well considering.

Cool, I was just wondering. I always miss when Winfield and Capital aren't there.

I really think ARTS and Winfield are good contenders for WVMEA.
