His name is Sam Dunn. He injured his arm at Milton. He dislocated his shoulder during the last song of prelims. The thing is he stayed on for the bow with a dislocated shoulder. He is pretty much amazing in my book.
How did you injure yourself??
I know that it sucks to be injured. I dislocated my knee in December, two weeks before our first competition. I hope you get better soon.
I actually broke my wrist right before the closer in prelims at Sauk. I didn't stay on for the bow... only for the first third of the closer. Thanks for the blessing! I hope to get better as soon as I can! Tell Sam I hope he gets better soon too!
and now I'm not the only one with a show choir injury! Yes! The guy in Totino had an injury too and I have to say... he did a great job! Anyone know his name?

Mr. Esser posted the finals score sheets outside the choir room today after school and I just want to say wow. It was close...but it was also very interesting. If I had a copy I would post it...but I think Ana's doing that later tonight. The scores were very...interesting
Mr. Esser posts the results on the board after every comp. It's always interesting to see the placements and the point differences. This competition was a real one. This is probably the one that ws the most fun. I've made so many great friends and our hosts were amazing.

Wow....21 pages!? Do we really have that much to say? ;)
I have loved and will always love this competition. It was my first competition as a freshman, and it set the standard for what every competition should be like. Every year we've had great room hosts, plenty of food, a good-sized room (aka, no smashing into tiny spaces and tripping over people's stuff), an amazing audience, and a FANTASTIC performance space. Not gonna lie, I love your high school.
To all the groups:
Wow. WOW. Everyone I saw was so talented...I honestly had no idea who would make finals, and I knew that anything could happen. There were so many talented groups that there wasn't enough space in finals to fit them all...6 slots is not enough for that much talent.
I just want to make a note to Papillion: It's kind of funny actually. I was sitting in the balcony, and as I watched your set, I fell in love with your choreography. I was searching EVERYWHERE for a program because I NEEDED to know who your choreographer was. It was SO GOOD. Please tell them how amazing their choreography is. Also, a group can have amazing choreography given to them, but it is up to the group to decide what to do with it. You guys took it and made it your own! Thank you so much for entertaining me!
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!
Like Ana said, someday, the "curse" of losing to GCS will be broken.
i sat in the auditorium for all of prelims, all i have to say is that the comp. is ganna be very tight all year, so many group were so close in my mind, its ganna be tought to figure out whos ganna place where.
I feel terrible that I didn't get to see most of the groups who performed at Hastings. I did get to see my favorite two - GCS and Totino. I think the GCS people know my opinion about their show, so I won't get into it. But Totino - what a fantastic show! I made sure to sit right up front, and it was nothing short of amazing. I'm really glad that I got the opportunity to see you guys once this year. I especially loved your dancing - it was great and very fun and energetic - hopefully I can make it for the finals of Spectacular, otherwise best of luck at Cedar Rapids and at Nashville!
haha
