We all understand that you are upset with Albertville's placement at Opelika (especially after your post in the other forum), but we prefer to look at things objectively on these forums. We congratulate groups when they do well... and encourage them when they struggle. I thought Albertville had a great show, but I also thought that everyone that beat them this year at Opelika had better shows. I also thought Spain Park should have been up there, but that's a diffrerent story. The knock I'm sure that Albertville got from the judges at Opelika was what seemed like a lack of energy (especially in the prelims which is the only part I saw).
Also results from week to week can't necessarily be compared because they are based on 2 different performances, and the score sheets are usually different. Everyone on these forums loves Albertville, and we cheer for them when they perform, but this blatant cheerleading and complaining that you are doing is pretty pathetic.
Everyone at A*vegas knows that I love you guys and I'm rooting for you at SCC. And, if you guys know this Gaylord character, you might wanna quiet him down a bit ;)
Ok, Ok..I'll admit it.
I am secretly Gaylord.
.....Ha. Kidding.
Thanks Trey, I've been waiting to hear someone tell him that. Well put. ;)
we might be going! i can't wait. i'm nearly postive we will be there though. and i can't wait to see alot of different schools that we won't be seeing at homewood or william carey!
Hey Dude! Saw your Show Choir at Opelika. I liked what I saw. Your group has a lot of talent. I heard you went up North and placed right behind Mt. Zion. That's awesome after seeing them at Opelika. Your group got robbed at Opelika. I am sorry to see that happen to any show choir. It appears the Northern judges have more experience and expertise at judging talent. Put it together this week-end!
Dude... you aren't fooling anyone.

I forget. I know they were there last year, but I can't remember where they were from, or even how they did. It seems like they were one of the finalists; I remember all of them but one group, and they may be the one I can't remember..
2006 Finals Results (I think):
1. South Jones
2. Petal
3. Hurricane
4. Albertville
5. ???
I would normally have checked the archives, but...you know.
I have no idea of who will be at the Show Shoppe. The only thing I know is that i'll be working it, hopefully being a runner for judges or bein with a group so I can watch the groups. I'll talk with Mr. Kimmel and see if I can copy a list of the choirs today during class.
Any word on what MidWest choirs are going this year? Buffalo Grove, Mt. Zion?
With Show Choir Nationals coming on the scene in Nashville, it appears that most midwest groups are going there instead of Belmont. Since '03, the number of high profile midwest groups at Belmont has plunged significantly. Sullivan's last year at Belmont was '03 (the following year they went to SCN), EEE's last year was '04 (in '05 and '06 they went to SCN), and Mt. Zion's only year was '02 (in '04 they went to SCN).
