I'll be there as a judge's assistant. You can probably expect some commentary and quick-posting of results throughout the day. It should be a great competition, I'm looking forward to it.

Me too, but really most SCC'ers would have already assumed that. Looking forward to a great day of performances!

I choose to remember Papillion by the jump rope/dance party. Much more joyous than widespread illness!

This.

..... Hopefully we can avoid the mass spread of disease that happened at that Papillion competition (I think it was that year).....

I'm pumped to see how this competition turns out. I wish I knew some of these groups a little better to attempt some predictions! Gotta give some love to Wac-town, Hastings, and Papillion though!

The only Nebraska competition I've been to was a few years back at Papillion and it was a blast! Some of the best hosts I've ever had, and I can only assume that ATSC will be no different.

Will there be a live feed?? I'll be at school hosting students for Concordia's music events over the weekend.

I don't know if they can surpass the hosting skills my group did for Mitchell my Junior year and Totino my Senior year, but I bet they will still be excellent. Hopefully we can avoid the mass spread of disease that happened at that Papillion competition (I think it was that year). This isn't official, but I don't believe there is a live feed. Sorry! If I hear otherwise I will be sure to make it known.

Let me put in my (probably wrong) predictions:

GC: Waconia
1RU: Hastings
2RU: Lincoln SW
3RU: Sioux City East
4RU: Elkhorn South
5RU: Ralston

For the most part, I agree with Ethan. I put Waconia at top because they've become a pretty powerful group within the last few years and I'm expecting this year is no different.

As for 1RU and 2RU, I think it's going to be battle royale. I think Hastings is going to be out for blood against Lincoln, what with their finish a few weeks ago.

I think 3RU is pretty solid. East is going through a transition year and I've talked to few members back while they were having their choreography camp and they said they weren't as strong as they had been in past years. But I wouldn't be surprised if they finished higher or lower.

4RU and 5RU is a crapshoot. I put Elkhorn and Ralston there because they seem to be having relatively good years this year but many other groups could step it up and take these last spots.

This is going to be a GREAT competition. I wish I was going! Good luck to ALL those who are competing!

Predictions:

GC. Waconia
1RU. Lincoln Southwest
2RU. Hastings
3RU. Sioux City East
4RU. Ralston
5RU. Elkhorn South

I think that the top four are pretty set on making finals. The bottom two are a complete different story.

The battle for GC is going to very fun to watch between the top three. Also to see how Hastings responds to Lincoln Southwest beating them a couple weeks before this competition will be exciting. This competition is in Nebraska so I'm giving LSW the advantage in my predictions but I wouldn't be surprised to see Hastings finish above them.

I don't think Sioux City East is a GC contender here with their director change and what not. But I do think they will make finals relatively easily. They're one of my biggest question marks for the year.

The last couple finals spots is going to be extremely interesting to see. I put in Ralston and Elkhorn South, whom are quickly becoming show choir rivals, but I honestly think theres a super great chance GINW will make finals. Also don't count out Elkhorn, Lewis Central, or Benton. Many good groups will not make finals here.

Good luck to everyone

I don't think I'll be returning. I've been to this competition the past few years and it's always my favorite but I just don't think I can get it to work with my schedule.

I'll have to catch all my Westside/Omaha area friends at another competition.
