Yay for the 3.5 hour trip here! I think we made the best decision. I am guessing this competition is gonna be SO MUCH FUN!

I am very excited to come to this competition. The more Jay and I talk about it the better i know it will be!

Just a general observation from this year.... the competitions around the midwest this year and stacked, week in and week out. Its very nice to see!

Quite a few groups i've never seen before, and a few that its been a few years since i have seen! Guess who will be leaving from Cedar Rapids, IA at 5 AM ... THESE GUYS

Right?! I think the toughest part is seeing how spread out the whole day is. It's virtually impossible to predict how this is going to go... Which is kinda why I want to come up and see lol.

Washington's performance at Muscatine's competition was amazing. I had heard they hadn't done so hot at Linn Mar, but there was no trace of that when I saw it the next week. First competitions don't always pan out for some groups- I think Washington is going to turn a lot of heads here.

Mundelein's the 2 year reigning champ here. Hopefully they can pull it off this year and keep Grand Champs at Fort a tradition!
We'll try our best! This is going to be such a fun competition, I can't wait! I haven't seen many of these groups, but enough to say we all have to work our hardest for both performances depending on if we make finals or not. No matter what.... I'M PUMPED.

I'm guessing "LIN-MAR HS- 10th STREET CONNECTION" is actually "Linn Mar - 10th Street Edition".


This is a Fort Atkinson competition that resembles the early 00s! I wish I could attend.

Linn-Mar. With the hyphen. But otherwise agreed.

Asdfasdfasdfasdf.... especially with our time (I'm not complaining, this is just a statement) and the number of great groups going, it's going to be so hard to make finals. Should be a great afternoon to watch, though. Can't wait for this!

Oh definitely. Super agree. This really mixes everything up IMO. Really who knows who will make finals? Everyone is going to have to perform at their top level in both rounds.
