I had Martinsburg above Poca. I would have given choreography to Martinsburg as well.

The real shocker for me were the middle school results. Sure, I thought Horace Mann was great for their first time out, but better than Dunbar? Not so much.

shocker

I agree....I was amazed that Martinsburg didn't place higher. I was very impressed with their show.

Congratulations to all of the choirs!

I'll give more thoughts later...but congratulations to Hurricane on a well deserved win. I also thought Poca raised their game BIG TIME for this one...I loved their performance. Putnam County back on top of things like it should be

Hurricane's performance will be uploaded soon

My Predictions:

GC: Hurricane
1st Runner-Up: Nitro
2nd Runner-Up: Poca
3rd Runner-Up: Martinsburg
4th Runner-Up: Saint Albans

I'm very anxious to see how this competition plays out! Hurricane and Nitro will be close. Both groups have done really well so far this year. Nitro has surprised a lot of people already, and I think they have a lot of potential to surprise more tomorrow! Poca is having a good season too. Good Luck everyone!

Good luck to everyone competing! I am so sad that my show choir doesn't do states but from what I hear it is alot of pressure and I guess its good that we aren't doing it.

Final Predictions
GC:Hurricane Red Hot
1st Nitro Show Cats/Poca
2nd Poca Visual Volume/Nitro
3rd Martingburg
4th St. Albans

1st and 2nd place are going to be close. SO PLEASE DO NOT BE OFENDED! The reason is because I think it will be a close call between Poca and Nitro. But I am rooting for both. Im excited to see everyone tomorrow! Its going to be an interesting turn out.

Middle School Predictions. Horce Manns show choir is pretty good for a first year show choir! Dunbar is great as usual!

Hurricane is probbly the favorite...Martinsburg is my dark horse. The host group always does well at States, so Poca could place a bit higher as well.

I just now realized this and I thought I'd give everyone a heads up. Saturday is also the day of the Championship games of the boys high school basketball tournament. The AA championship is first at 12, so anyone thinking about getting there after that time might want to show a little early if you are going to park at the Civic Center...the upper seeded teams this year are fairly close to Charleston and normally bring big crowds with them. The A game is at 2:30. Things will be over before the AAA championship that night
