in reading all this drama i am ALMOST more excited to see the results from this competition than i am to see Lost tonight. Of course since im from st. albans im not allowed to make predictions, but im nothing less than excited to see how this goes. I hope someone posts the results, as I'll be checking from my hotel room in Columbus saturday night. Good luck. Enjoy West Virginia, its great!

St.C usually has around 550 students in their High School.

that makes poca the smallest then lol

actually...I think Poca is the second smallest school there. The only school in class B I don't know for a fact is bigger is St. Clairsville.

GC- Manchester

2RU- Cabell Midland
3RU- Nitro/St. Clairsville
4RU- St. Clairsville/Nitro
5RU- Martinsburg

Manchester is definitely the favorite here - stereotypical Andy Haines group with powerful vocals and classic choreo - but if a group is going to challenge them it will be Poca. Second Runner-Up on down is where results should be interesting. Cabell Midland made finals at Poca over some of these other groups, and i expect that they will keep the momentum from their finals placement. i've yet to see both Nitro and St. Clairsville, but i'm hearing this is a breakout year for Nitro, so i favor them for Third Runner-Up. as for the last spot, i've never seen Lee Davis or Martinsburg, but have heard enough good things about the latter to give them the benefit of the doubt. if neither school were to make it, i'd probably guess Herbert Hoover as Fifth Runner-Up.

This is the first time in many years that St.C goes into a competition defending a title. I'm hoping that they can bring home another.

Good luck to all the choirs. This should be a good one.

I can't wait to see Martinsburg. I wish we were able to see them more often. They have a well respected program but rarely make it down this neck of the woods. I would look for them to place extremely well at this competition.

Wow...who would have thought a little bit of show choir drama would happen 3 weeks before our festival (lol) but seriously, all of the groups who are coming this year have an equal chance of winning...Nitro has a great show this year...I haven't seen VV yet but I'm sure they have a great show (they usually do...woot)...and Manchester may even do well...but grand champion is a toss up, our competition may not be "loaded" with "giants" but all groups should go and have a good time...because I know I have a good time hosting

all i have to say is this....yup..lol

Yay. My first HäakonPoint™™!
But with the kids on the boards now, I should be getting a lot more points.

This isn't a website just for kids. If it was, then the administrator would not allow parents or any adult for that matter to join. It is a forum for anyone involved in and cares about show choir (directors, choroegraphers, parents and students). MySpace and Facebook are websites for young people. If Bryan took offense at what I said, then I am sorry. But I still stand by it.

I know quite a few parents/adults on Facebook and MySpace.

and its show choir.
Thanks

The guy is still right. This isn't the "most loaded" competition. Just because he thinks Poca will be near the top, doesn't mean that he thinks the other choirs arent competitive.
No offense, but why is a mom on a kids website anyways?? Sorry if that may offend you.
