FAME Orlando definitely had a live stream last year (and free too). It would be awesome if they all did! :D

If one or two can, why can't all of them very easily do it?

Yay, new topic! I really wish such huge competitions as FAME would have live streams :/ It's killing me that I can't see my friends competing against Los Al at this once in a lifetime situation.

edit: I know FAME Nationals does. I'm obviously talking about the regional competitions

Agreed! I think I remember awhile they had livestreams, however they weren't very reliable and you had to pay for them. I'd love to see the return of some quality streams (Maybe with ads if FAME is looking to make some money)

It's gonna be different not comforting here this year. Good luck to all groups! Might try and come out to the city for the day and see it live!

So, we're going on about a week of calling Garret out for his predictions. There isn't anything wrong with Garret's predictions and he phrased it in a totally respectful manner. Not only that, but his predictions aren't much different than Alan's... they're both predicting Loveland to take two captions and Los Al to take one caption. Obviously if that were to happen, the scores would be relatively close and so one predicting it Loveland-Los Al and the other Los Al-Loveland really isn't all that different...

It's kind of old news, lets move the discussion in new and fresh directions.

While I do see that the few people that have come to the backing on Loveland are from Ohio and that could confuse some people. But mainly because we have seen this group grow into an Ohio powerhouse. There are few groups that can rival their energy on a stage. I think since their win at SCN a couple years ago, they have been massively overlooked. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Los Al and their 2010 show is one of my favorites of all time. But I think we have seen in past years, including this year, no one is unbeatable.

That being said, this will be an awesome showdown of differentiating styles.

Nicely put, Chad. Yay, show choir!

Los Al isn't show choir jesus, and there are a billion factors that go into a competition like this one. For starters, they have to fly across* every single timezone. I think that people need to stop comparing the current groups to the groups of the past, and right now, Loveland is doing better than Los Al. Who knows, I might just be blowing smoke, but hell, I guess that's what predictions are all about aren't they?
First off, I respect that these are predictions made by Garret and it is all opinion. I absolutely love both Los Al and Loveland with a passion. I've gotten the opportunity to see them both live multiple times. However, they are both very different groups. One hails from an area of three huge consistently amazing groups whom primarily compete against only each other. The other is from an area of many more groups that are arguably more similar to their style, but they excel year after year. Both groups are amazing. I love you, David Moellenkamp and the rest of Los Al! (Your finals performance from Nationals last year will leave an imprint in my mind forever) And I love you, Shawn Miller and all of my wonderful friends in Loveland! Crazy things can happen in show choir, so I don't think Garret's predictions are 100% absurd. I'm just looking forward to see how it all plays out. Best of luck to all of the groups! Wish I could drive up and watch.

No they aren't "show choir jesus" but they are consistantly one of the best groups in the country. They won Nationals last year... loveland did that the year before... How can you not compare groups to their past shows if you have nothing else to go off of because it's a new season. Yeah predictions are fun and mean nothing but I use past show choir history to determine predictions. Which is why I think Los Al will sweep. It's a very hard thing to accomplish, beating a school like burroughs or los al or burbank. and only few schools have accomplished that such as waubonsie or clinton.

I think Los Al is in a league of their own... I would love to see loveland give them a run for their money but I don't see this happening
