All of the schools that I listed are pretty much on the same playing field...James River has won Grand Champion at the past two competitions in the Central VA area and they wont be there so it should be interesting to see who is going to step up and get it...it should be really close!

Do you know anything about Colerain (are you from there)???

Okay awesome!

Yeah... choir kids can be annoying. That's a good idea to pass out lists etc.

Thanks for your help though!!! Much appreciated =>

the Colerain Showcards will be attending i know for sure, some of my friends are in it.

who would be the "usuals" ? just to get an idea of who may be there

Like I said, it was February when i saw the line up, so I can't say for certain who was on it. I just recall seeing a lot of familar names. Since Menchville isn't going, I can't post a line up because I didn't get one. Some students might have a line up that could post it...I copy it and give it out to my kids. I get tired of answering "Who's in our category" over and over and over and over again.

A few schools that I know are going are Cosby, Clover Hill, Atlee, Midlothian, Matoaca, and probably L.C. Bird....but Thomas Dale, James River, Hanover, and Lee Davis wont be there so it should be REALLY interesting to see how this competition turns out

cant wait to see everyone!

Though I can't remember specifics, I did see the line up in February at District Chorus. I'm pals with Harbor Lights/Touch of Jade director, Rick Allison. I would say most of the regulars are coming. There was a pretty full line up for both days. I want to say it's a two day, not a three day competition, so they might not have as many as some of the bigger comps.

I'm not taking my kids back this year because of a negative experience we have consistently had with someone associated with the competition. However, I think it's a good competition overall. It was definitely too bad about the air conditioning being broken last year.

And by the way, I believe the competition is called the Hampton Roads Show and Jazz Choir Invitational, FYI.

If you're choir is going, maybe you could post here.

Good luck to everyone.
