Hurricane is kind of a wild card at this competition as this is the toughest lineup they've faced all season. I would not be surprised if they jumped as high as first, or fell as far as 5th. Hurricane does have a tradition of excellence especially since Mr Kincaid took over.
In fact, now that I think about it, 1-3 are really a huge toss up in my opinion. ETC hit a level during Carroll finals that I haven't seen since 2015, Beavercreek is potentially the best Beavercreek has been ever been, and anyone who's paid attention to show choir in the last 5 or so years knows just how consistent Hurricane has been.
But enough of that, tomorrow is going to be a great competition! So excited Homestead is streaming! Good luck to all the performers tomorrow and have so much fun!
Technically there are three schools that have only received Grand Champion recognition - ETC has only had one competitive appearance though so I guess it wouldn't count as a "streak."
This is just a guess, but I could see the top 3 going any way. ETC is extremely solid this year, possibly the best they have ever been, and Beavercreek I would say the same about. It will be fun to see how this goes!
This is going to be fun to see the results. With Beavercreek and Hurricane having three wins and ETC showing they're a force to be reckoned with, a lot is up for grabs. Not to mention, all the Tier I groups have at least one win.
I've been told that Homestead is planning on putting on a live stream for this competition! It will be their first time ever doing a live stream which is awesome! Can't wait for this awesome day of show choir!
