I have heard from other performers who have attended this competition before that they are often unable to get into the auditorium to watch other groups. Is that still the case?
For the past two years they have had Screen in the gym for the choirs to watch because the auditorium is too small. I would assume it will be the same this year unless they said something about changing it.
If my research is accurate, the last time Johnston and Hastings competed was at UNL Midwest Cup 2011, where Hastings took GC with a sweep and Johnston received 1RU.
Hastings also hasn't lost to a choir from its regular competition circuit (anyone from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, or Nebraska) since Linn-Mar Supernova 2014, where they tied for 1RU with Ankeny Centennial, and Iowa City took GC.
On top of this, Johnston hasn't lost in Iowa since 2014.

Wow!!! Let me just say that I am incredibly honored to be competing with such amazing groups. I really want to watch as many of you as possible!!! Infinity has competed with Johnston and Hastings and I've had the privilege of watching you both live. I cannot wait to see you again, as well as these other amazing groups I have yet to see live. Also, I can't wait to see the four amazing host groups... I'm going to be startstruck at this competition. Regardless, I hope all three Millard North groups will impress/entertain you guys and I hope to make friends with some new people here! Yay show choir!!!
