out of all the competitions i've been to...i don't think i've been to one that ended as late as tonight did and i must say tonight i definitely saw a change in show choir.

Congratulations to all the choirs that competed. I enjoyed watching all the group's performances.

Thank you so much. That really means a lot. Sorry if that comment sounded rude, it wasn't meant to be.

We only have 38 people but we WANT to be in AAA but Kevin Butler strongly advised us to do AA for a little then move up.

No worries, I didn't take it as rude at all. I definitely want to recognize everyone... sometimes technology just gets in the way. But it's all fixed now.

I don't know who decided to call these things "AA" and "AAA," but I think those labels are silly and don't describe anything. At this point, I'm just going to refer to them as small mixed and large mixed, since they're being divided by choir size. But a choir like yours just goes to show it's really all about ability anyway, which is how the divisions were always separated before...

Sorry Everett! I was entering awards from my cell with a ridiculously slow connection and it was difficult to keep up. I caught everything but that, but I've added it now so you're represented.

You guys put on an amazing show, by the way... I think most of the people in the audience were wondering why you weren't in the larger division. I especially loved the girls' re-entrance; that was very cool and totally unexpected!

I must say, Cali is pushing the envelope more than ever this year... there is some definite evolution going on. It may take a few weeks for everyone's shows to settle and find their centers, but it's very refreshing to see people trying new things.

Mark Keppel had to leave early because of some new stupid rule from the district...

We got "5th" place, but I'm still happy because we've been doing pretty good this year. :>

I have new info! Apparently there WILL be a "handful" of tickets for sale at the event. I don't know exactly how many that is. Could be 3, could be 40. But yeah, it's NOT "sold out" just yet!

While the event may be officially sold out, there are usually people who don't need all their tickets looking to sell them. Especially with the rain (we all know Los Angelenos don't like to go anywhere when it rains), I suspect that will be the case again.

so can we get a final word on whether or not there will be tickets tomorrow? and also maybe a time estimate as far as groups are concerned....

I don't know. I had someone else get me a ticket super last minute. I will be arriving there pretty early so if no one knows before then, I'll post and let you know once I'm at the event.
