Predictions:
This will be a toss up! I think that There are four or five groups that have legit claims to be in the top 3. That said, I think it will be interesting to see how Ohio show choir plays here. Fairfield is always fantastic, but I will interested to see if they move closer to their roots after and an "out there" kind of show last year. I think it will between them and Mt. Zion, with the possibility of Wheaton North or Troy making a challenge.
Very cool that Fairfield "Rhythm Express" is competing in Tier II despite being a middle school group!
Rhythm Express didn't compete in the middle school division back in 2013 at Crete, either. They were in their own 9th grade division by themselves so I imagine they might not qualify for the middle school division here at Crete. Not that it really matters, because they can hang! Last year they competed - and won - in Tier II among mixed varsity level high school choirs at their Virginia competition. Back in 2011, they also placed well in an open division at Grand River and took 2nd overall among 9 high school choirs at Central Crossing's fall competition placing only behind the Choraliers.
They're a remarkable group of talented young musicians, that's for sure.
I'm thinkin Fairfield is gonna come away with this one with Best Choreo and Best Vocals. Wichita is good, but I don't think they can hang with Fairfield's power and talent.
The schedule is added - I'm assuming divisions haven't changed since Häakon's post, but if they have just let us know. I also guessed with Batavia since they appear to be a recent addition. Last year, Batavia competed in Tier I - if that's inaccurate for this year, again, just let us know.
