Of course, we don't really know what Carmel's sound/visuals will look like this year. If they are very similar to previous years, then I TOTALLY agree with your statement. However, with Wheaton's former director and Dwight Jordan, I have a feeling this is not your mother's Carmel. (which is sad to an old-school guy like me!)
There's a sample of what they'll look like on YouTube currently. Still nice visuals a good vocals different for them but it works.
This is a major competition in the girl's division too.
Mundelein, Center Grove, and Carmel are all absolutely fabulous. Too bad I'm stuck in Florida for the week.
I'll "predict" that it'll be Carmel and CG for top two spots. With the judging panel it'll favor both their sounds and their visuals.

I see clinicians... did Danville add a clinic?
it look like they did! so instead of watching a video of your group who get critiqued! Fun!
Yeah, the clinic is mentioned via the link the Director provided in the initial post. Here's a snapshot of that:
Additionally, the 2015 Midwest Classic will feature a post-performance clinic for all our show choir participants. Because our competition is early in the season, we believe your students can benefit from valuable educational feedback to help propel them through the remainder of the season.
I believe Hoopeston Area High School will also be competing at Danville. I heard that Glenwood will be competing at O'Fallon's competition (which is the same weeekend as Danville).
