I just wanted to say I am SO excited for the Big Dance.  I think it's an awesome competition and I am really excited to see a lot of the groups.  Also, I think you guys have just about the craziest lunch room.....EVER! I know that sounds random, but if you have been there you know what I am talking about.  O well, I am really excited and good luck to everyone who is going to be there.  Also, good luck to Davenport North this weekend at U-dale!  See you guys there! Davenport North is one of the few schools who both claim to do their schedules in random order and actually make good on the claim.  My understanding of their performance orders is that the returning grand champion (who this year is Mount Zion, I don't think they can even compete in Iowa anymore due to the rule about adults in the combo) will always go last, but beyond that, it's done randomly then adjusted if necessary to accomodate travel plans etc.

It is funny to look at the schedule though, because it really doesn't make sense when you think of how most competitions do their schedules.

Mount Zion can't compete in Iowa anymore? Wha-whaaat?!

My day has been ruined..

Adam........They can compete in iowa now............their band is all high schoolers this year.

Do you think Troy's prep will win the aud?

Im not sure we might have a chance but we are going up against Urbandale, and they beat us last year. I haven't seen their show yet but they are always good. The best of luck to all the groups.

I was thinking the same thing, Jordan. The top two returning groups (Studio and Happiness) are going the earliest that I have seen them in a really long time.

Alright! Plenty of time to cheer on our prep group and still have time to get dressed. Looks like the scheduling gods at Davenport had mercy on us this year!
