Not sure why you would think that of me in the first place.

Sadness. Sounds like Tony had a really bad day in 2001 as well.

Never... ever... had a bad day at any So Cal... ever.
Not sure why you would think that of me in the first place. Most people who actually know me, know that I am actually positive, supportive and know that I want ALL California groups to be great. So don't be sad Jorge.

1997 Burroughs was an amazing set ... and had a freshman boy that year.... named Brendan Jennings

2001 was a good year, but for some reason there were no songs that really stood out that was worthy... Please remember, this is only the HOF for So Cal, not the entire year.

In 1997 Tony left out Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man of Mine
Hence not the full set was inducted

WRONG, Matt.
"This Is Your Life" is by Switchfoot.
"These Dreams" is by Heart.
And, duh, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" is by Eurythmics.

I know this is like a week late, but I have been sooo busy, but I wanted to thank Mr. A and all the Chula kids for another spectacualar SoCal and it was an amazing way to end my final show choir competition season. Also I wanted to say how amazing everyones comp. sets were this year and everyone rose the bar. I have found myself this last week walking around campus(hart) humming a tune and I realize its from most likely Powerhouse's or insync's sets and I when i turn on my computer the first thing I do is watch your sets on youtube.......so basically to burbank, your set inspired me and made me laugh and want to dance along. Powerhouse once again your set made my mouth drop and inspired me too.... also if this doesn't sound weird, it made me want to be in powerhouse even more than normal. All in all what an amazing year and I hope all of you freshman- juniors rock it again next year.... i'll be wanting youtube videos!!!!

What happened in 2001 to grant no HOF inductees?

No songs were HOF worthy in 2001, in Mr. A's opinion....

Didn't Burroughs have their show inducted TWICE? Look at 1997? (Chamber Choir... well it's Burroughs ;) )

i think he meant out of his 14 years Burroughs the school had its whole set inducted. Not just this year.

What I meant was their acapella..... I love their opener too(my new favorite song). Sorry I should have specified that I wanted to know about their who sings their acapella.

The song is called Taller, Stronger, Better and it's by Guy Sebastian...who apparently won Australia's version of American Idol.

Grats!

In response to Elyse's query,
When I created the HOF back in 1995, I only chose songs that made me and for the most part, the audience say "WOW"! For about 10 years I was the one who decided who made it in. Then with showchoir.com coming into popularity from 2000 and on... I started to ask for nominations from all of you! I would then take these and discuss them with The Main Attraction (the hosts of So Cal) and my staff. We would then pick ONLY those who we felt worthy of being inducted into our So Cal HOF. We are very picky on who gets this honor, and this year we have put in more than we usually do. That just meant that 2008 was a GREAT year!

Criteria for HOF:
1) Must be performed at So Cal
2) Must have had to made us say "WOW" .....(An "OMG" is an automatic admission)

Here are the previous So Cal HOF Inductees!
Congrats to all! You are all now immortalized on all our programs from here on out!

TA
