Just noticed.... The above listed times are the warm-up times. In trying to give you the most accurate schedule in a post, the formatting did not show that the first time listed was their warm-up, and the second is their performance time.

Thanks for fixing it. Very excited...I can smell the Christmas cookies being baked as I am typing this and the reindeer just got here!!!

I feel so blessed that I get 3 Häakon points and I barely passed high school English! (seriously, I got D's) I would love to get out to LA in April for a competition... but until then, I want you all to follow Dr. Scott and I on Twitter for updates on NoCo2014, and other random stuff. @hausoflanoue @d_skizz Going to be a great time. The Christmas trees get delivered tomorrow, we have started watching the Santa Tracker for his appearance, and there will be spaghetti and syrup for all!!!

LANOUE (*häakon point) had a phenomenal time at Los Al! Best trip ever.
Oh my goodness, I feel like I've committed the ultimate sin! I would blame it on the fact that I'm usually typing frantically on an iPhone at 4:30 in the morning (like I'm doing right now), but it appears I made that post in the middle of the day and was just derping it up. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

By the way, the rule goes if you ever manage to correct ME, you get three HäakonPoints™! Just don't spend them all at once.

I think everyone should take Adam's suggestion and come out for a big Cali competition party. YOLO or whatever, right?

Well, we could go to a fancy California competition...if we had the money for it...hey Häakon, want to pay for a little group from Ohio to come out there?

Haha, believe me... if I was independently wealthy I would treat you guys to it in a heartbeat. I wish everyone could just perform everywhere! Unfortunately, being a show choir geek who runs a website for fun doesn't quite afford me that luxury. Twinsburg made it out here last year, though! I think Lanoe had a fun time (I hope he did, anyway!).

The biggest problem really is that our two best competitions IMO (Burroughs and SoCal - because of their huge venues and very social-promoting atmosphere) are in April, when most of the Midwest has already closed up shop. But then, that just reinforces my point that your season is too short.

The question is, why so few groups?
Aside from Randy's post below, the end of February is in general a crazy busy time in the show choir world. Just look at the sheer number of competitions the last two weekends in February. On the 22nd, specifically, there's also Cabell Midland, Grove City, Hamilton Harrison, and a few Indiana schools hosting competitions. It's just a busy time with a lot going on. Luckily Ohio and the Midwest have plenty of quality groups to spread themselves out between all of these competitions!

The schedule posted is not complete. I will post the complete schedule when I get to school tomorrow.

Happy show choiring!!!

Lanoue

Wonderful, we'll update it first thing once it's complete!
