our ballad is by contemporary christian artist David Phelps, it's called "Fly Again." our directors brought it back from show choir camps of america this summer, and i'm glad they did. lots of people have really connected to it and we're always very grateful to have people share their stories with us. so thanks to you!

Your ballad was awesome!! I would love to know where it originally comes from.
One of our chaperones is a Hospice nurse and one of her patients was a little 2 year old boy with a brain tumor, she received a call just about and hour before your performance to tell her that he had died.
So your ballad was extra touching to all of us around her. ( I think we went thru a box of tissues)
It was beautiful and I thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Congrats to all it was a great competition.

first off, i was a little upset at some of the results from the finals but ya know what, this is probably the best competition this year for me. i met sooo many great ppl, especailly marysville ppl you guys are sooo nice, some of the coolest ppl to talk to and just genuinely great ppl. we had two amazing performances that we would never take back in a second, left it all on the stage. this is also the first year we made finals since the 2000 season, and thats something we are sooo proud of.

major props too.....

Piqua- wow!! wow!! wow!! you stayed away from having the same style songs and u gave a new flavor, and flare to each style of song you did. your ballad u can't say anything negative ab it, it was an amazing ballad and definately gave me chills. you can really feel the passion and heart u put into that performance. you guys without a doubt deserved to win in my eyes. and when ya'll did "my peragotive by britney spears" at first i was like what were they thinking and at the end i was like wow that was one of the hottest closers i've seen this year. and i'm actually to hear this is ur first GC in a long time whats up with that?? I loved your show *standing ovation*.

Marysville- u guys are sooo good b/c your director is a solon alum. hehehe no im kidding im kidding. BUT, honestly first off i love all you ppl. the nicest group i've had the chance to talk to all year. (i was the "carlton" just if u wanna know who i am btw thanks for making me do the dance ) um but your show this year flawless. dancing, hott hott hott hott hott. vocals very strong as well. the ballad gave me goose bumps. i thought u guys deserved higher but whatcha goin do? you put on two GREAT performances, and i can't help but smile when I see ya'll on stage.

Fairfield- i really loved your show this year. i dont tihnk u can ever top that jail theme my freshmen year, but it was a great show. extremely innovative. the closer outfits were off the chain. i cant even call it a show, the whole production was great. i liked how u had the girls then guys in the ballad. what is that song btw? wheres it from? dancing was great, vocals great. every year you are a powerhouse, and never cease to impress!!!

and Brush- im soooo sorry ya'll came in 7th. i thought u guys deserved to be in finals. you have come a long way this year. i must admit i underestimated you early this year, but watching u guys perform yesterday, GREAT PERFORMANCE. especially being a smaller group, you guys are awesome.

thankyou everyone whose said nice thing about us.

this was the first time we'd made finals at twinsburg in 4 years. it was so exciting just to get to go that far.

all the groups were amazing! but i especially love marysville, it was great to meet so many of you, you were all so nice and so much fun. and i love your show, i cry every time i hear your ballad.

best of luck to everyone with the rest of their seasons!

HEY GUYS I JUST WANT TO SAY HECK YEAH PIQUA!!!! WE FINALLY DID IT! GRAND CHAMPS!!! THIS WAS A GREAT COMP AND I ALWAYS LOVE ALL THE EXTRAS THINGS THEY HAVE LIKE TH SLIDESHOWS! I CANT WAIT TO RETURN NEXT YEAR! OUR HOSTS WERE THE BEST THERE! THEY ROCKED PHIL, DUSTIN, AND AMY!

Congrats to all the groups at Northcoast!!!! I loved this competition!!!!!!

Solon- Saw both of your shows and loved both of them you guys are awesome!!! You tie Marysville for my favorite show this year!!!

Medina- Results after the day show kept you guys and us way to close for comfort!!! You guys' show is awesome, our director warned us about you guys all week and you did not dissapoint!!!!

Fairfield- Gotta' love the closer outfits (thought i think the random visor angles were deceptive) you never fail to entertain that is for sure!!!

Marysville- Always amazing and always will be!!!! the choreo is amazing and the singing is very powerfull!!!! no doubt you guys are one of my favorite groups!!! bot h on the stage and off!!!

Harding- What can I say the songs rock!!!! the costumes rock!!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

PIQUA- Oh my God guys!!! This is a feeling I will not forget for a long time!!! And I couldn't imagine celebrating it with a better bunch of people!!!!

I love this competition and always will!!!! When I come back from college in Texas next year for a comp!!!! This will be it I love it!!!!

i just have a couple of things to add to my fellow swinger. while i was disappointed with our placement...actually i'll be frank, i was pissed right after the results...we knew going in that there were five groups at twinsburg that had a good shot at grand champion. after making finals and after getting class b runner-up for our daytime performance (which is usually a lot worse than our potential finals performance) i was really jazzed up and ready to show everyone that we could be the best choir there. well that obviously didn't happen, but instead of focusing on that and trashing everyone that beat us i'd like to dispense a few pleasantries.
what needs to be said first is that i'm so happy that piqua won. this is my first year in show choir so i might just be stupid, but piqua is my favorite ohio group. vocally they're loud...but good in tune loud, and that's a really hard thing to be. choreographically, their dancing can only be described as hot. if there was one school that i was cheering for besides us, it would be piqua.
also i should mention that solon has the coolest show ever! every single song gets in your head and refuses to leave, and as fashionably questionable as sequin baseball caps are, you pull it off well.
lastly, i had never seen fairfield before. i has seen a tape earlier in the week of twinsburg's comp. 2003, a year when fairfield won with a jail-themed show. needless to say that they were very different this year than that one. it was nice to see a group completely change pace and try something new. i also really liked how your ballad featured the guys and the girls seperately and wasn't happy or sappy.
that's all for now. i'm really glad we had the chance to compete with all these great groups, even if the results didn't come out in our favor. there's always next year!

Wow, what a great show everyone put on. We went at 8:25 AM and pretty much caught everyone after us. I was very impressed by all the groups.

Marysville -- You guys impressed me the most with your vocal difficulty. You sang in 5-part harmonies while dancing verses like you danced dance breaks. It was awesome, and I loved it. The ballad was my favorite, and the solo was fantastic. Great job, you guys should be so proud. You were so awesome.

Piqua -- I loved your costumes, and you were very visually impressive. I liked the pink a lot, it was really cool ... and I loved the girl's shoes in the costume change. Wow, they were sweet. Your vocals were very good as well, and I just overall really enjoyed your show. Congratulations on your win - well deserved .

Fairfield -- I liked the song selection and variety a lot, and I liked the featured section of boys and girls during the ballad, I thought that was cool and different. Your vocals were very solid throughout the entire show. My favorite however was the closer. The songs mixed so well together and the arrangment and choreography was so good. It was honestly my favorite song I saw all day. Great job , you made me smile.

Solon -- Very impressive, as always. You had a great show this year and really got well awarded for it, so congratulations! Euclid loves you guys and you know it. Oh, and your ballad is amazing .

Winfield -- I really liked your show and was mad I couldn't see the 8-part a capella section, I cheered loudly for it and was pissed off when the audience wanted to see the dance break, lol. You guys were incredibly impressive vocally and visually. I can't wait to see your show next year -- you guys are always one of my favorites.

Yay -- so that's all for now. I'm so tired, haha. Oh and I'm very happy that the judges didn't completely forget about us and awarded us Judge's Choice . What a great competition. Congratulations everyone!
