I heard that Hattiesburg and Jackson Academy canceled so that should change some of the groups scheduled times to sing. So depending who you want to see you better check out when they sing.

Good Luck Everyone....can't wait till this weekend....hope to see some new faces and some old ones....it would be kool if anybody wants to meet up or something...maybe if someone can come up with a time and place...that way we can have more fun.....the more the maryer

The five highest overall scores on Saturday will advance to the finals, regardless of the divisions.

Now, as far as finals judging goes, I can't tell you for sure how that will be done. I was told something about "Olympic Scoring", a system that supposedly makes it extremely difficult for any one judge to make or break any group in finals, so..

yes. all of those choirs are from ms. matter of fact 4 of them are lest that 1 hour away from each other... we're just not prominitley (sp) known like some of the larger mixed groups. (even though we work just as hard)

Man, I don't know alot of the smaller choirs. Are those local Mississippi show choirs?

Early predictions... This is going to be tough... since there is nothing to base it on, but I'm gonna do it anyways.

I'm not going to predict the Small Mixed Division, because I don't know enough about a few of those choirs.

Women's Division
GC.) Petal
1RU.) Tallassee (Divas, I assume)
2RU.) Homewood

Medium Mixed Division
There are a few of these choirs that I'm not sure of either, but here's my guess
GC.) West Jones
1RU.) Northeast Jones
2RU.) Picayune

Large Mixed Division
GC.) Petal
1RU.) Albertville
2RU.) Homewood

It will be interesting to see if Homewood or Albertville gets the nod for that 1RU position. Albertville is always really sharp early in the season, so i gave them second, but it could go either way.
