I'm a fan of medleys...for one song. Three of Burbank's four songs were medleys.

Still was great...I repeat.

Are we watching the same feed? I strongly disagree its going to be very close. Burbank's choreography was better in my opinion.

I may be letting my live Fame Chicago memories influence me.

Probably because your new to SCC Burroughs and Burbank both are incredible and have been for a long time- probably one of the best show choir rivalry's in the nation.

At least it's a "friendly" rivalry...

We really are supportive of each other. It's fun.

i dont think the medley was bad its just ALOT of groups have been doing a medley of turning pop into country or something like that... its just been being done alot. I thought they were pretty good with diction and vocals and choreo for that. But ya there were a lot of songs and i was like "is it done or.... nope lol"

But great job!!

my predictions:

1) Burroughs BV
2) Burbank BC
3) Hart
4) Los Alamitos

i wont be disappointed or surprised if burbank takes it though. either way they still are perhaps the two best in the country!

That's true ^^ they covered a LOT of music in just 2 medlys lol. I liked it actually- it was very together and well done.

I'll say it...I don't want to...but I will anyway...

Not a big fan of Burbank this year.

Too much medley. There were like, at least 20 songs.

Still...Great Job!

Now the thing keeps cutting out on me every 5-8 minutes or so. Ugh. Haha. It made watchin it a pain in the rump.

Burbank - Never heard of you before this competition!

1st Song
GREAT diction... and it cut out. haha.
I love the color of the red costumes.. especially when contrasting to the hands.. just wow.
There was one time where the F on LIFE wasn't together.. it wasnt that noticeable though.

2nd Song
I wrote best diction of the night?
Great Great low base sound.
Cut out again
Came back in.. and the soloist.. Uhhhh. Yeah. I wasnt to sure on that one. But i missed the beginning of the solo.. so idk.

3rd Song
Okay. I wrote so much down for this so im not going to put everything
Great choreography.
Hilarious song.
Great use of levels? must of during one part.
For one part, there were three guys that like lifted three girls or somthing in the front, and they weren together tho.
Great diction, great jumping ripple toward the end.
I got it from my momma!
my only worry.. is it was so long. they could have added a whole other song and cut this one in half. i dunno how that will (if it does) change this.

4th Song
Great first soloist.. brave as hell. To stay on stage.. ALONE. and sing. My gosh. Guts, right there. Major props.
I wrote messy arms twice? right when the group came back on, i remember. i dont remember the other part.
There was this stretch in there wher ethe choreography was nearly flawless. It was amazing.

Great job, Burbank! I seriously love the red. Its amazing.

My Predictions:
1. John Burroughs (9.075)
2. Hart (8.957)
3. Burbank (8.740)
4. Los Alamitos (6.714)

I highly disagree with this statement. Whoever wins, is not going to win by much. Whether it be Burroughs, Burbank, Hart, or Los Alamitos.

Wowza.

Burbank's novelty- way too long for my taste. I am also displeased that this style of novelty is being used so much.

As for their closer... it was cool to see that I did some of the same choreography my senior year for "You Should Be Dancing". As in their dance break and the very end of the song. Then again... it's not like it was recycled April stuff starting from us... it actually belonged first to Clinton 2000.

Interesting competition.

I know that Burroughs vocals don't translate well when recorded. Burbank's vocals were definately stronger on this feed. But, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Burroughs received the Vocal Award. They are stunning live.

eek Burroughs did not get their reputation at FAME Chicago, they solidified their reputation there. They have been great for a long time, and highly recognized as one of the best choral programs in the nation.

sorry. i honestly didnt know how to spell that word. haha.
