Usually (and if you know me, this might be an understatement), I'm very opinionated on everything, especially show choir. I also am one of the most competitive people I know and you may ever meet. I can tell you that there were too many occasions this season where after daytime awards I would be so angry that I would go mute until warm-ups. This competition? The exact opposite.
Maybe it has something to do with the competition setup. We went Thursday night, and awards were Friday after a day of show choirs from everywhere. Then finals were Saturday morning. So maybe it had to do with having time to let it sink in and not focus entirely on show choir.
Seems reasonable, right? It does, but I think it's entirely on the venue. We are high schoolers performing on THE Grand Ole Opry. I know that I at least will likely never perform on a bigger stage. Win or lose in the end, it was SO fun to be on that stage and pour my heart out in performing.
Maybe it also goes to how great the other groups were. After Clinton performed the obvious friendship and enjoyment in their time between Hastings and Totino, or seeing my amazing friends from FFE who I hosted at Marysville, or seeing the incredibly nice Loveland group who I only saw 10 times this year
Basically, I wouldn't trade this past weekend for anything. I couldn't be happier with this 2RU, and congrats to every group, especially Loveland, for such an amazing weekend!
Loveland "By Request" always gives it all they got on stage. They have improved all year long and can't wait to hear how things turn out at Show Choir Nationals.
I honestly do not know about band. I feel like Hastings has a beautiful show with great potential to blow everyones faces off. Especially in the ballad. Stephen Todd choreographs them so of course they can and will dance like crazy. Marysville is having a strong year, but vocally I feel Hastings will beat them. Loveland is good this year, but I just feel like hastings will be in it to win it. Totino Grace is not where everyone expected them to be early in the season, but I am waiting for a come back! So we will see.
These are just predictions and I did not mean to hurt anyones feelings. Obviously someone has to win and someone has to lose. Whatever happens, happens. Good luck!!
First of all, that was slightly cheating, but to make it worse , the only one you had correct was Findlay. lol

Are you sure that's right? The show choir twitter said "We apologize for the confusion- Nationals Results are still on the way!"
Oh, nevermind then. I did not see that tweet.

How was that cheating? And that's why it is called predictions. You never know what will happen.
