All captions were based off daytime scores. I was honestly just as confused, but congrats to all groups today!

7pm: Center Grove

So they only took 3 finalists?
There were only 6 mixed groups competing, anyways, I'm kind of surprised they had finals to begin with. The schedule posted also said they would be taking three finalists. If the previous FAME qualifiers are any indication, FAME will probably still announce a 3RU and 4RU.

I'm gonna say that the top three in order will be Center Grove, Bemidji, and Sullivan, but I think Sullivan is going to be dangerous today and could surprise everyone. Best of luck to all competing groups and have amazing shows today!

I figured it was a typo, but I just wanted to clarify anyways to avoid any potential confusion.

Has anyone else noticed that since FAME began the National Championship Series, the individual FAME Chicago competition has been pretty sparsely attended? In 2011, it was a good competition, but Nationals were held in Indianapolis. Last year and this year Nationals are taking place in Chicago, again, so perhaps that dissuades some choirs from choosing this as their qualifier which is a shame.
It is a shame, but if it means Fame Nationals is always in Chicago it is worth the sacrifice. And tomorrow will be my 8th straight Fame Chicago!!

Actually, 3RU (4th Place). Only the top three (GC, 1RU, 2RU) receive automatic bids. And if any of the top three decide not to attend Nationals, the 3RU should receive an invite. But if the 3RU also declines, then that's that... no additional offers. Or at least that was the rule last year:

Should a mixed group decline the invitation to compete at the National Show Choir Finals, one alternate (the third runner-up) from that event will be invited in their stead."

Should there be more than one group that chooses not to accept the invitation, no additional alternates will be invited.

All of the predictions so far have included four choirs and there are only three finalist spots according to the FAME schedule.

Although for some strange reason, despite only having 4 finalist spots at the New York and Orlando #1 qualifiers, FAME in addition announced 4RU and 5RU. So who knows how many will actually be announced here...

I agree with John and Jonathan's predictions. Anything can happen, though, and Volcano Vista is a wildcard so who knows what they bring to the table.
I just followed them! They led me down the wrong path
