Mr. A is obviously one of the coolest men EVER!  He was totally rockin' that Hawaiian shirt for a while.  He also has the best hair in the universe.  Meggie and I admire it so!  The new look for spring... "The Atienza."

I definitely had one of the BEST times at the SOCAL SHOW CHOIR INVITATIONAL!!!  I am gonna come back every year at least until Meggie graduates.  143 Meggie is a child according to the hotel.

I do believe that Burbank had an amazing sound on Saturday.  I thought they deserved music at least.  But I knew Burroughs would win.

Are these Hart girls great or what???

hahaha!

Thanks for coming down! I hope it was a good substitute for prom! And I hope you both had fun with us. I just wish Hart could have been there to compete! It would have made the competition rise to a whole another level!

I also wish I could have stayed in the hawaiian attire.... it was so much more comfortable .... As for my hair... my kids TRY to imitate me but alas... they fail.... haha!

A Special SHOUT OUT to the Hart Girls Haylee and Meggie who came all the way down to So Cal, instead of going to Prom...

I wanted to say something about that before the awards, but I forgot!

*slaps own face

AWWW MR. A!! WE LOVE YOU! We wouldn't miss it for the world!!!!! Socal was great! It always is! Hopefully ASB will cooperate with us next year and let us go to Socal without any conflicts. Well, no matter what...Haylee and I will see you there for sure!

Mr. A, you were mean to me and my friend....we were trying to say hi to you and comment on the awesome job you have done with the choir, but you totally turned around and walked away from us...I stuck out my hand to give you a hand shake, I WAS DISSED BY MR. A!

Perhaps I did that on purpose! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

No... actually, I really do not remember that moment. If I had seen your hand extended, I would have shook it.

Sorry about that! I did not mean to leave you hanging there!

TA

It was when I was talking w/ Mrs. Rago from Burroughs outside. Paul (Big Daddy) was with me. I was the big Red Head!

mr. A, it wouldve been awesome if you wouldve brought back taphi to do her solo in seasons of love.. i had heard from someone prior to the comp that she was gonna do it.. but then i never saw her.. i was bummed.. taphi is the best!! (an idea for next year maybe?)

That is why I was hesitant.... Tahphi was supposed to make a surprise appearance, but did not make it... I wanted to cut the song... but we did it anyway

My dearest Sandy,
Since you were NOT backstage... you would not know WHY we were going to cut it....

Please think before you post...

As for Seasons Of Love.... we had just put that together the day before.... I was going to cut it minutes before we went on, but MA was insistent on doing it... so I gave in

Mr. A is the best!! Haylee and I said hi to him at least 5 times at SoCal! And everytime he just kept talking to us! It was GREAT! And when I saw him on stage rocking it out to "Seasons of Love", you better believe I was giving him a standing ovation!!! GO MR. A!!!

Overall  So Cal = greatest comp EVER!     peace out everyone

Mike

Thanks!
I wish more competitions would emulate what we have accomplished!

- Starting at 12 noon means you leave at 8pm and get home at a decent hour! Our E.T.A. back to Chula Vista High School from LA competitions is 3am!! ...quite exhausting!

- Medals are a hit! I wish the other festivals would invest the money like we do.

- Positive Atmosphere! This is what show choir should be all about! When I see people non-supportive due to competition anxiety, it makes me happy that SO CAL is not that way!

- Meeting people! It is nice to see everyone getting a chance to talk. At many of the festivals toward the beginning of the year, we only know you through your shows and this page.

-Lastly..... no bathroom passes!
