I’m so excited for some sort of normalcy tomorrow, despite watching the livestream. Here are my predictions (I did not predict Single-Gender tier 2 or middle school because I am not familiar with these groups). Good luck to everyone this weekend!
I would definitley agree with these predictions. I think Mixed Tier 2 it’s gonna be a race between Pendleton and Roncalli for 2nd place, as these groups have gone back and forth in the past. Edgewood should easily take GC in that category though. As for Tier 2 Single-Gender, I would predict Edgewood Sophisticated Ladies to take GC, Pendleton Heights Emerald Suites to take 2nd, and Cathedral Irish Adrenaline to take 3rd. Emerald Suites is usually a really strong group and probably would’ve taken home GC in their division if Edgewood were competing in Tier I. Super pumped to see Center Groves shows tomorrow!!!
The lineup has changed a little bit. Both Edgewood choirs have moved to Tier II and Cathedral Irish Adrenaline will also be competing in tier II Single-Gender. There are two junior high's competing as well, Riverside Golden Harmony and Noblesville East Vocal Revolution.
WOW!!!! So many AMAZING choirs competing at this comp. This will be an interesting one for sure. With showco season kicking off for many of these choirs, everyone will be looking for that top spot to start off the season. In Mixed Division I, the GC spot is a toss-up between some tuff choirs. With their exquisite track record, I think Center Grove will just inch past the other choirs and end up on top. The first and second runner up positions are anyone's game and will come down to who brought their game face. In Mixed Division II, It's gonna be a battle for the title. One little mistake could be the difference between spots. In short, EVERYONE BRING THEIR A-GAME. After coming off of their first win and being the only grand champs in the country, Roncalli will have the competition experience to pull of the victory. I said it once and will say it again, this comp is anyone's game in both divisions. Super excited to see the competition here.
This is STALLION signing off.
***STALLION'S STABLE COVID-19 UPDATE***
Due to the unfortunate pandemic and social distancing protocols, I have been forced to cancel all Stallion's stable events this comp season. While sad, I had to make this decision for the safety of all choirs and their families. I would still love to discuss choir predictions and rankings for Indiana events. If interested, message me your snap and I will put you into my Indiana show choir GC.
STALLION!! It's so good to hear from you! How's the retirement coming along? Also, a very detailed and backed up prediction (as always). I must say your predictions never seem to fail!
Very sad news about the meet ups! I hope to see you around the SC comps this year and if not, I'll catch ya next year. Stay safe and mask up!
CANDYMAN!!! Great to hear from you. I will try my best to make it to some comps this year when bigger audiences are permitted. I would love to meet up some time and discuss show choir, maybe over coffee? Also, I know you are disappointed about Stallion's Stables, but hopefully we can reconvene next season.
As of right now we have a strict cap on the number of spectators, and they will likely be parents only per the Fishers Board of Health. Each school will have a block of time they can buy tickets for in order to watch only their school. The ticket link will be sent to each director a week or so before the event once we are sure that we will be able to move forward with spectators. We will DEFINITELY be selling tickets for a live stream that will be available the entire day. That should also come out about a week before.
unless dates change for competitions in 2021, this competition is surely going to be stacked because it is the only competition in Indiana. All the Indiana choirs looking to save money on charter buses will go here. I'm a little surprised about Franklin Community and Northrop are usually on the first Saturday of February, but they switched it up this year.
