Will Single-Gender groups be in large or small finals?

It will depend on the number of choir members. So far it looks like all single-gender groups will compete for large finalist positions except for Teays Valley. This is still tentative, however.

Only 2 weeks remain until the January 1st entry deadline! We still have spots open, especially in our acapella/concert choir and middle school show choir divisions. Because we are just a short drive from most Eastern, Southern, and Midwestern locations, we are attracting choirs from throughout the region, giving your choir the opportunity to see and compete against choirs you may not typically see during the season. Due to our format change using two performance venues within the school, we will have ample seating for all spectators including choir members wanting to watch other groups perform. We pride ourselves on running a top-notch competition with a fun atmosphere and great hospitality and would love to host your group! Contact us with any questions and click on the link for info and to register.

We are pleased to announce some exciting changes coming to the 15th Annual Rhythm In Red Invitational on February 29th, 2020. First, we have added a division for a capella groups. Next, as participation in our competition has continued to increase, we have outgrown having an "auditorium only" performance space. Because of this, we will be conducting the competition at two locations within our school. The a capella groups and middle school show choirs will be competing in the auditorium (approximately 700 seats) while the small, large, and single-gender high school show choirs will be competing in our main gym (approximately 1500 seats). This will allow ample seating for not only paying customers, but also choir members wishing to watch other groups perform throughout the day. Both the auditorium and gym are located in our concourse area and spectators will be able to easily access both competitions. The gym competition will use an imported stage, lighting, and sound system set up. Because of this new format, we still have plenty of spots for additional groups to register prior to the January 1, 2020 deadline. As always, we will have great hospitality, a fun environment, a vendor fair, expanded food options in the cafeteria, and food trucks. If your choir is still looking for a late February competition to attend, we would love to host you! Please contact us with any questions and click on the link to register.

We still have spots available for the 15th Annual Cabell Midland Rhythm In Red Invitational to be held on February 29, 2020. Classification is by choir size with separate finals for large and small groups. Single-gender groups are also eligible for finals. There will be highly-qualified adjudicators consisting of 2 vocal/choral judges, 2 visual/choreography judges, and 1 instrumental judge. The competition is held in our beautiful 700-seat auditorium with awards ceremonies held in our 2000-seat main gymnasium. There will be a vendor fair, expanded food menu served in the cafeteria, and even food trucks! In 2019 we hosted 17 show choirs from 3 states and would love to grow even more for 2020! Check out the links below for more information and registration. Please contact us if you have any questions. We hope to see you at Cabell Midland in February!
