My most airhead moment as a judge came at the Fairfield competition about 10 years ago. I was sitting between Linda Southard and Dave Moellenkamp, and the very first group of the day started performing at either 7:30 or 8 a.m. I started talking to them and making a critique tape when Linda tapped me on the shoulder. I was in the middle of making a constructive point, so I ignored her. About 5 seconds later, she leaned into my ear and whispered...."Damon, you're talking into a cup of coffee!" Sure enough, I was doing a critique into a cup of coffee, while my recorder laid silently on the table in front of me......

I can’t wait to see the schedule for this event. Just going to watch last season was crazy enough, but actually competing here for this upcoming comp season? Wack.
