Predictions:
GC: Glenwood (sweep)
1RU: Hastings
2RU: Jefferson
3RU: Holmen
4RU: Western Dubuque
5RU: Mayville/Anamosa
I have a really good feeling about Anamosa this year...
Also, I wouldn't be shocked if Jefferson slid their way up to 1RU after their killer performance last weekend. Good luck to all groups!
This Prediction is probably going to really wrong but here it is
GC: Glenwood (Sweep)
1RU: Hasting
2RU: GSC
3RU: Cedar Rapids Jefferson
4RU: Holmen
5RU: Tomah
Best of luck to all of the groups that are competing
I Might Change this Later on in the Season
One major change: Mazzuchelli “Ignite!” will now be competing in the middle school division instead of performing in exhibition. After talking with the director of Sauk Prairie MS, we’ve decided that both middle school groups would benefit from competition with each other. Mazzuchelli kids will not be hosting any groups or working any positions at the competition, and this decision was decided with the permission of the director of Sauk Prairie MS!
Judges are as follows:
Ines Kurtovic Cring
Lexi Robson
Trent Buglewicz
Justin Rosser
Nolan Henkle
Lester Ray Miller III
Dr. Ann Schoenecker
Jill Klinebriel (solo competition)
Anamosa Sadie Street Singers (3A)
Cedar Rapids Jefferson Westside Delegation (4A)
Cedar Rapids Jefferson Ovation (Prep)
Glenwood Titan Fever (4A)
Hastings Riverside Company (4A)
Hastings Upstage Revolution (Prep)
Holmen Midwest Express (4A)
Holmen Midwest Magic (Prep)
La Crosse Central Grand Central Station (4A)
Mayville Cardinal Singers (3A)
Sauk Prairie Middle School Soaring Sound (Middle School)
Tomah Limited Edition (4A)
Western Dubuque 5th Avenue (4A)
We do still have a couple of remaining spots for anyone who is looking for a new competition on Feb. 2nd! We’ve got some stellar groups so far, so you’ll have a great day with some amazing choirs from across the Midwest. Hope you consider!
We’re excited to announce that Wahlert Catholic is hosting their first ever Key City Classic in 2019! We’ve got a wonderful venue, expert judges, a solo voice competition, live critiques, amazing food, a great location on the borders of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin (a close competition for schools in all three states), and lots of other awesome goodies along the way!
Please feel free to visit www.KeyCityClassic.org for more info, or to register! If you have any questions, feel free to message me here or email [email protected] or email Wahlert Vocal Director, Aaron Behnke at [email protected].
