Judges were Pat Dorn (Monona Grove band director), Lora-jean Jones (choreographer), Robert Jones (founder/choreographer of Grand River Singers), Jennifer Gulsvig (La Crosse Lincoln Middle School director), Gary Schwartzhoff (Choral Music professor at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire), and Taras Nahirniak (arranger and husband of MG's choir director).

Eau Claire's choreographer is Jeni Donahue.

Also, anyone with daytime results, I'd like to see those.

wowza. Congrats to CR Jeff, props to Prairie for a bounce-back after Onalaska and Bloom Jeff for not making my predictions look silly.
Goo Fort! I finally got to see your show from last year on the New London finals DVD, and I was really impressed. You just keep getting better, I'm sure, and I can't wait to see what you have this year at New London.

Anybody with a program know the following?
Judges
Choreographer for OASC

Onalaska just barely missed finals. Rumor has it that they would have made finals except for a penalty for going over the time limit and/or someone jumping off the stage. I picked five out of the six groups that got into finals--the only one I missed was Fort Atkinson getting in over Onalaska.

I saw the day sheets and there were no penalties listed for any groups in the penalty column so I think this might be just a rumor.

It's interesting how I consistently under-rated Cedar Rapids groups as compared to how the judges rated them. After all six groups performed in finals I wrote down my predictions and I had:

GC Bloomington Jefferson (Best Vocals)
1st RU Cedar Rapids Jefferson
2nd RU Milton (Best Choreography)
3rd RU Cedar Rapids Prairie
4th RU Fort Atkinson
5th RU Eau Claire Memorial

I had everyone else in the right order (Jefferson did place higher than Prairie, and Bloomington over Milton) but just put Jefferson and Prairie too low, apparently.

Of course, anyone from Bloomington or Milton probably thinks I was right, and wishes I was judging the competition.

There is definitely a pop and food "Nazi'' (I don't like that word) at the top of the stairs. I remember that from the year Spots went to MG

It's a little red machine where you can buy a pencil for a quarter. I would always buy a pencil for good luck.

I did this too and used it on my finals.
